Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon and The Sunday Post for weekly updates.

Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

Another week has flown by, and while I only read two books (and a half of another), and only wrote four blog posts, I did enjoy some viewing .  I was immediately hooked on The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix, and started watching something different called Night Sky. Then I watched old favorites like When Harry Met Sally and You’ve Got Mail.  I always need flicks like these to make me feel the warm fuzzies. And I need Kleenex with these movies!

On Monday, my #2 son and his three adult children are coming through town to meet up with those of us who live in these parts…for lunch.  And in a couple of weeks, my daughter is styling my hair and taking me and another friend to “linner” afterwards.

Now let’s sip some coffee, tea, or a mimosa…and take a closer look at the week.

The Road Trip, by Beth O’Leary

That was my week. I am still rearranging things and dreaming of other goodies to add…but this cute little diner from Coca Cola is just a fantasy. I think my house is “full enough” for now.

What does your week look like? Enjoy!

  1. I hope you have a great lunch date with your son and his kids. And Night Sky looks great. I went and watched the trailer and I think I’m going to try it. 🙂

I watched the movie. Can’t remember now if I listened to the audio before or after the movie came out, but that was pretty much what made me start me on Michael Connelly.

  2. Gayathri Lakshminarayanan

I didnt enjoy the Lincoln Lawyer much but I binged watched it anyway. I hope you enjoy your family visit and “Linner”. I hope you have a great week ahead.

      1. Don’t feel guilty. The ONLY reason I cook so much is because we don’t HAVE delivery options where my mom lies. There is no Uber Eats or Postmates or anything. No Instacart for groceries. I’d be having EVERYTHING delivered if I could. Sigh.

    1. Thanks, Sarah, I am excited about the family get-togethers…and the hair styling! After doing without for almost two years, it is a true pleasure to have it again.

I hope you have a great week, and that you are doing better.

  5. I saw that Netflix added You’ve Got Mail and When Harry Met Sally. Just love those old movies and will watch them again while they’re available. The Lincoln Lawyer looks really good, too. Hope you like the new Beth O’Leary book… reminds me that I still have The Flatshare waiting on my kindle. Enjoy the time with your son and his family!

  6. I’d say two and a half books is quite good!
Adult Assembly Required looks good to me, as does Road Trip – I just added a book by the same author this week. I’ve been really into rom-com types of books recently.
Have a great week and happy reading!

  7. Adult Assembly Required looks like a cute read. I seem to only be reading light books these days.

I bet you are looking forward to all the family get-togethers that are in the works. Enjoy the one today!

I’d definitely keep thinking about that amazing Coca-Cola diner!
