WEEKLY UPDATES: A GOOD ONE!

Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon and The Sunday Post for weekly updates.

Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

My week was a busy one, and even though I only wrote five blog posts, I read and reviewed three books.  I also enjoyed viewing Anatomy of a Scandal, based on a book by Sarah Vaughan.

Today or tomorrow I will have lunch or dinner with my granddaughter Fiona, who is spending time in town after being up in the mountains.

Last Monday, my #2 son and his three adult kids, along with me and my daughter, met for lunch.  It was a great family gathering.

Next week, my daughter has promised a hair styling appointment…and a meal!

I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend!

Now let’s take a closer look at my week.

    1. Thanks, Deb, I loved all of the books I read this week! And my outings. I forgot to mention that I also had a bone density test on Wednesday, but that wasn’t a fun activity, LOL.

      Enjoy your weekend!

You had such a great but busy week! It’s wonderful that you loved all the books you’ve read. We had our long weekend in Canada last weekend, but wishing you a great Memorial day weekend.

A nice family get together; loved that you shared the picture. You also read some books that sound tempting. My son is having the family over on Monday for a cookout. I’m looking forward to it.

    1. Thanks, Martha, Fiona and I had a great visit, beginning with a lovely dinner and then watching movies on my laptop!

I am loving Never Coming Home, even though the protagonist is not a good guy, LOL. Have a great week.

    1. Thanks, Melinda, before I even bought the Davis book, I watched the interview between her and Oprah, which really led to the purchase. I have enjoyed Viola Davis as an actor, so I’m looking forward to learning more about her.

      Have a great week.

  5. Watch out! Handbags take up more room than books, don’t they? 😉
Nice family photo! We’ve had great family time with our adult kids this week, too. No grandchildren, though! I’ve been hearing a lot about the Viola Davis book.

  6. How nice that you were able to visit with your daughter, son, and his 3 children. It looks like a great family outing. I recently listened to the audiobook of Anatomy of a Scandal so I do want to watch that show on Netflix. I hope that you have a wonderful week!

  8. What a lovely week! Over the long weekend I reconnected with a dear friend and her three grandsons, two of whom I’d never met. It was breezy because they live on the water, and we had a pleasant conversation about this and that. We agreed on politics, and although we are very different in denominations of churches, we agreed on what was important. It was a delightful afternoon.
