My birthday is finally in my rear view mirror, but I am still savoring the memories.  This past week, I had two more birthday dinners, and now I will relax into my routines again.  I read and reviewed only two books and wrote four blog posts.  I also enjoyed some viewing, which included The Watcher, The Good Nurse, and Human Capital.

Let’s take a closer look at my reading and reviewing:

My week was fabulous!  Just as my actual birthday is right around the corner, my surprises continue from unexpected places and sources.  Lunches out, a birthday dinner with my daughter that turned out to include my No. 2 son who had driven up from Las Vegas.  And then I ended up reading and reviewing three books, writing three blog posts, and going to the doctor to get my third COVID booster and my flu shot.

Next week will bring even more, as my granddaughter is taking me out on Monday and my oldest friend is taking me to dinner on Wednesday.  So can I say it has definitely been a good week?

Now let’s take a quick look at my reading and blogging.

Another great week has passed:  the final one in a series of great times with family members.  My eldest son flew off to Prague on Wednesday, although he was rerouted a couple of times along the way.  It seemed fitting that one of his last flights was via Las Vegas, where he got to spend more time with my No. 2 son before landing at LAX.

I did manage to read and review two books this week and write four blog posts.  My viewing was sporadic, mostly shows I had seen before.  I was pretty distracted by last minute outings to local restaurants, one of which was a neighborhood Irish pub called Groggs.

Another great week, with family activities and outings.  I also finished reading and reviewing two books:  one was excellent, the second one, not so much.  Then I finished a third book today!  I wrote five blog posts.

My eldest son stayed with me another two days on the Murphy bed, and we enjoyed some outings.  We had dinner at a nearby Irish pub with my granddaughter Fiona and her friend.  My son then spent time with one of his friends from back in the day.  Hopefully we will end the weekend with more time with other family members.

What a great week!  Last weekend, I spent time with family eating out and taking photos at the CSUF Monument.  Here are a couple views of the sculpture that we have used since 1979:

My week was a busy one, and even though I only wrote five blog posts, I read and reviewed three books.  I also enjoyed viewing Anatomy of a Scandal, based on a book by Sarah Vaughan.

Today or tomorrow I will have lunch or dinner with my granddaughter Fiona, who is spending time in town after being up in the mountains.

Last Monday, my #2 son and his three adult kids, along with me and my daughter, met for lunch.  It was a great family gathering.

What a week!  A lunch outing last weekend, another on Monday, and lots of binge-watching.  I finished viewing all six seasons of Sex and the City, and then went on to watch the first movie that came afterwards.  I am now on the second one!  I also watched the Hulu show Candy and another episode of Gaslit.

Only one book read and reviewed, but I loved it!  Now I hope to read more this coming week, but who knows what will happen?

I had coffee on my patio this morning,  but it was only the second time this week, due to wind!  I am intrigued by the green things growing (weeds?), which I noticed yesterday.

What a week!  I only read and reviewed two books, but they were good ones.  I also spent time viewing shows online, one of which was an old favorite that I had never seen before in its entirety:  Sex and the City!  What fun.  I’ve seen the movies based on the show, but I liked going back to the beginning for the four friends in their early Manhattan days.

I also enjoyed another episode of Gaslit, on Starz, and a show called The Deceived.

On Friday, I had a doctor’s appointment, and I was exhausted afterwards!  I saw the doctor, but also had two shots and bloodwork!  One of the shots was my second COVID booster, and the other was for Shingles.  Fun stuff, LOL.

Today I will be joining my daughter for lunch at Mad Duck.  Guess what I’m ordering?  Fish and Chips.

For all mothers out there, have a happy Mother’s Day!

This week brought more activities, but not a lot of reading:  only two books!  But they were both good.  I did write six blog posts.

I watched more shows on the streaming services:  new episodes of Pivoting, The Drop Out. and Big Sky.  I went out to breakfast with a friend on Wednesday, and today I am tempted to try that Door Dash delivery service.  I use Instacart for my groceries, but I also like the idea of having a restaurant meal delivered.  Or I might take Lyft to a restaurant.  I like having options.

My week ended with my finishing touches on my dining area.  The Baker’s Rack and the Engelbreit plates are now spotlighting the area.  What next?  Since I seem to be obsessed, I could keep going…trying to replace things I lost.  Or I could sit back and enjoy what I’ve done.  What did your week look like?
