As I sit here with my coffee and oatmeal, I am pleased with how the past week unfolded.  I actually read and reviewed three books, for a change; wrote three blog posts; and enjoyed some outings.  One was another lunch at my favorite neighborhood restaurant, with salmon and Caesar salad.  Not to mention the creme brulee!

My eyeglasses arrived in the mail, and I’m delighted with them.  I may need to go in for a slight adjustment, but I’ll see how the days go.

I also changed up some of my blog headers, just for fun.

Let’s take a closer peek at the week:

Welcome to another Weekly Update.  This week, I read and reviewed two books.  One was a reread, and the other was a NetGalley ARC.  I also started reading a book that I am still reading and hope to finish today: Still See You Everywhere, by Lisa Gardner.

I wrote two blog posts that have become a regular again.

On Tuesday, I went out for a manicure, which I enjoyed, and on Wednesday, I had an appointment with the optometrist and ordered new eyeglasses.  I am looking forward to new frames and lenses!

I finally finished all seasons of The Resident.

Now let’s take a closer look at my week.

What a great week!  After I returned from my road trip, I was exhausted…but then caught up on my sleep and started reading more.  I read and reviewed three books!  I did some blogging, too, and started viewing a new series:  The Resident.  Six seasons!  I’m on number three.  I even took a Lyft ride to a favorite restaurant for one of the special lunches I enjoy.

Let’s take a closer look at the week.

Ho, ho, ho!  Here we are at Christmas, and for those who love the event, First Book of the Year will launch on the 31st!  I have my pick sitting on my office desk.

This week has been a good one, with more outings, including dinners out and a Christmas lunch.  Today I am meeting up with my other granddaughter, Aubrey, the one from LA, and her boyfriend .  We’re having lunch at Mad Duck, one of our favorite places. Aubrey and Fiona were both born in February 1997, so they are like “twin cousins.”  I only get to see her a couple of times a year. We also added my daughter Heather to the mix.

I finished two books this week, and enjoyed them both.  I completed viewing LA Law, and then started rewatching some Hallmark movies.

Let’s take a closer peek at my week.

Welcome to another Weekly Updates post.  As the season turns bright with  crisp air, lights, and the promise of good cheer ahead, we can all cozy up in warm rooms with good books.

Today I finished reading and reviewing the second book of the week, and it, too, was a delight.  I also enjoyed watching the Daytime Emmy Awards today, which I recorded on my DVR last night.  I was happy to see that the show was there, even though we had power outages last night.  I’m not sure how that works, but I guess losing electricity doesn’t necessarily mean the show was lost.

My viewing this week also included the final episodes of The Crown’s Season 6.  And finally, I am on Season 8 of LA Law.

Now I think it is time to start watching Hallmark Christmas movies.

Let’s take a peek at the details of the week:

December is quickly slipping by, and even though each day brings something delightful, it is hard to imagine how soon the year will end.  I am definitely eager to hear when (and if) we will celebrate our First Book of the New Year, and my pick is waiting on the table by my books and office supplies.

Again, I happily read and reviewed two books.  One was a chunkster, which I had actually read a few years ago…and I loved it again.

Do you often reread old favorites?

This week I had outings, including a dental appointment…not fun, but I had planned a treat of breakfast with my granddaughter and her boyfriend for afterwards, so that was the topping on the day.

On the weekend, I had dinners out with my No. 2 son and breakfast with him and other family.

I am still rewatching LA Law…and I am now in Season 6.

Let’s take a peek at the week’s details:

I had a great week, decorating and some reading, too.  I’m still watching LA Law…and enjoying it. I am hoping we hear soon about the First Book of the Year event…and I have picked out my choice.

This weekend, my No. 2 son is coming to spend time with us, and we’re hoping to enjoy a new restaurant for lunch today.

Let’s take a peek at the details of the week.

Welcome to another Weekly Update.  A busy week, with two great books read and reviewed, and some wonderful outings, including Thanksgiving with my daughter’s in-laws.  The rest of the week was also good, with a cleaning day done by Fiona, followed by a wonderful brunch at Mimi’s. Tuesday was spent with a long-time friend.

My viewing included a very long-ago show that I rediscovered:  LA LAW.

Isn’t it great to gather with people who are friends and/or family?

Welcome to another update.  My week was full of activities, including two doctor appointments, one of which was a surgical big toenail removal!  I continue cleansing and wrapping it, and I’m looking forward to complete healing.

I also went out to lunch with my granddaughter, who helped me with transportation and wound care.

In addition, I read and reviewed two very enjoyable books, and finished binge-watching This Is Us.

Let’s take a closer peek at the week.

Here we are in another week, having missed some time together.  I finally have two new books to show, having done some reviewing along the way.

My binge-watching has taken me to a show I enjoyed a few years ago:  This Is Us.  I am almost finished with it.

I had some outings the past two weeks, including lunches and dinners.  Plus, my granddaughter cooked brunch for me on Wednesday.
