Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon and The Sunday Post for weekly updates.
Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

My week of reading was pretty slow, but the books were good; I just finished reviewing my second one. I wrote seven blog posts, however, and I did a bit of viewing on Amazon Prime: Apple Mortgage Cake, a heartwarming story of how one single mother managed to save her house from foreclosure.
I spent a lot of time out on my patio reading and drinking coffee or wine. And enjoying the breeze. There were a couple of rainy and windy days, however, which interfered with that activity.
Now let’s sip a beverage (coffee, tea, or wine?) and take a closer look at the week.

That was my week. What did yours look like? I have struggled to write this post today, and even lately, the Block Editor has been a challenge! I thought I had it worked out nicely, but suddenly it is almost more than I can handle. So…let’s see how it goes this week.
Meanwhile, here is my patio with my little table and two birdhouses now!

It’s nice to be outside. Your space looks cozy. 🙂 And yay for blog posts!
I think 214 PAlmer looks good. that’s kind of a chilling cover…

Thanks, Greg, I like the look of 214 Palmer, too, and this will be my first read from the author. Enjoy your week.
I also love cozy!

Glad to hear you were able to enjoy a few more days out on your patio in the sunshine – We have finally got our garden furniture back out. Sorry that you have been struggling with Block Editor though – I hope you will be able to sort it out soon. 🤞
I enjoyed a chilled and quiet week with plenty of sunshine, where I finished reading one book, which was the Christian non-fiction Pray For Us by Meg Hunter-Kilmer. 😊
Take care and happy reading in the coming week.

Thanks, Jessica, your week sounds good. As for Block Editor, the issues that troubled me at first are sorted, but now I am struggling with simple things, like using bold type! The Classic Editor feature that is part of Block Editor doesn’t work for me with these issues. I have no clue how to deal with it!
Enjoy your week.

It must have been heaven to be able to sit outside, feel a warm breeze, and listen to bird calls after last year! I see you enjoyed Insomnia. I’m afraid to pick it up because I have insomnia! Would it be too much, lol? I will check out that show on Prime– never heard of it. Have a wonderful week reading!

Thanks, Mia, I would hate having insomnia, and while I’ve had occasional bouts with it, nothing that troubling. But where it all leads has kept me intrigued throughout the book.
Enjoy your week.

Thanks, Harvee, I am enjoying it! When I first wake up in the morning, I look out to see if there is wind or rain, and if not, I’m excited.
Enjoy your week.

Got to love the bird houses. In Minnesota, at the como zoo they have a well insulated place where they keep the birds and its so steamy, I sometimes go there just for to fight climate depression.

Thanks, Trin, notice that one of my birdhouses is on a ledge, which is wide enough, but I am worried that someone will reach over and take it! LOL. Probably not an issue here, since the residents are senior citizens.
More likely a gust of wind might knock it down, but the ledge is pretty wide.
Enjoy your week.

Hi I’m Bonnie. I’m new to Sunday Post. Apple Mortgage Cake sounds good! I’m going to look that up. But I found myself scrolling past Just Like Mother with the decapitated doll head in a hurry!

Thanks, Bonnie, I am also creeped out by the doll head, lol. I hope I can manage reading this one!

It has actually inspired a new blog post I’m going to add next week called “Covers that Scare You Away.” lol.

Is that the neighbour’s hedge peeping over to your side of the patio at the top. Makes it look nice. Hope you get some birds in the bird house. I like the sound of the Apple Mortgage Cake but don’t have Amazon Prime so … no go! Lots of books here all a bit creepy as you like!

Thanks, Kathryn, maybe Apple Mortgage Cake will show up on one of your sites! And yes, that greenery peeking over is a shared one, I think. It is actually under one of my windows.
The creepiest book I still have to read is the Just Like Mother. I have only read a bit of it so far. Today I’ve been visiting blogs and even taking a nap!
Enjoy your week.

I really like the looks of all your books. I have to check them out. They sound like books I’d enjoy. I haven’t done much reading outside but I really should. We’ve been having nice weather too. Your patio looks so lovely. Have a great week!

Thanks, Yvonne, I didn’t read outside much at all, not even at previous places where I had a patio, but this one is actually pulling me out there more regularly. Maybe we’re having better weather?

Oh two bird houses! Looks like you had a good week. The Just Like Mother book cover is scaring me a little bit!
Hope the weather holds and you get to spend some more time outside.
Have a great week next week!

Thanks, Emily Jane, I am tempted to add more birdhouses, but I might just stick to the two for now, LOL. I tend to get carried away when adding stuff.
Enjoy your week.

I really like that time of year when you can sit outside and read. There is a small window in my area where it is actually pleasant to do so. Just Like Mother looks like a book that I would be interested in. Have a great week!

Your patio looks like a nice spot for reading & for the birds. And that Sarah Vaughan cover is pretty alluring. I always have to read novels about politicians … that plot set-up is like catnip, right? I hope you enjoy it and tell us about it. Have a great week.

Thanks, Susan, I know that when it gets hot, I will mostly read outside in the evening…or early morning.
I am looking forward to the Sarah Vaughan book, as I loved her book Anatomy of a Scandal.
Enjoy your week.

We’ve been really enjoying outside time lately. The humidity hasn’t shown up yet and the mosquitos are on the light side so we are spending as much time outside as we can before all that hits. I need to look at more Amazon Prime videos. The movie you mentioned sounds really sweet. Have a wonderful week!

Thanks, Elizabeth, in my last place, the one I left in 2019, I had a great patio, but hardly ever went out there. I don’t know why!
I am enjoying this one. Have a great week, and I hope to love 214 Palmer Street.

Your patio looks very inviting! I love reading outside, but our porch is a mess right now, and it’s still been too cool and breezy for sitting outdoors here. I didn’t get my post finished today before I had to leave for work, and then I left my laptop behind at home. I had to finish the post on my break using my old iPad, and what a pain the block editor is on that! On the laptop, I’ve kind of gotten used to it, but I wish it didn’t insert so much white space everywhere. I prefer denser style text, but I guess that is old-fashioned and out of style!

Thanks, Laurie, I’ve never used an iPad, but I hear it is almost impossible to blog on it. So since blogging is my main thing, I don’t bother getting an iPad, LOL.
I am still not a fan of block editor, but some things work okay for me, now, while I struggle with others periodically. Sigh.
I am enjoying the outdoor reading. The cement on my patio is not very pretty…bumps and dips. But I can’t do anything about those. I don’t think scrubbing them would do much, lol.
I hope your week goes well!
