Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon and The Sunday Post for weekly updates.

This week brought more activities, but not a lot of reading:  only two books!  But they were both good.  I did write six blog posts.

I watched more shows on the streaming services:  new episodes of Pivoting, The Drop Out. and Big Sky.  I went out to breakfast with a friend on Wednesday, and today I am tempted to try that Door Dash delivery service.  I use Instacart for my groceries, but I also like the idea of having a restaurant meal delivered.  Or I might take Lyft to a restaurant.  I like having options.

So now let’s take a closer look at my week:

My week ended with my finishing touches on my dining area.  The Baker’s Rack and the Engelbreit plates are now spotlighting the area.  What next?  Since I seem to be obsessed, I could keep going…trying to replace things I lost.  Or I could sit back and enjoy what I’ve done.  What did your week look like?

  1. Sounds like a very balanced week! It is nice to have options. Being careful here as we have an Omicron surge at the moment. But I did go in to a shop to get takeaway coffee!! Small risk taker! Hope this week brings good things.

    1. Thanks, AJ, I guess I should order way before I’m hungry, then, LOL. I don’t like waiting a long time for deliveries. My Instacart grocery deliveries show up within a couple of hours, so that’s not bad, as I’m not expecting “prepared food.”

      Enjoy your week..

  2. I like the Engelbreit plate grouping on the wall! Nice touch.
I have read 2 Alex Finlay books so I look forward to that one. And the Paris Apartment is getting a lot of love around the blogs. I used to read Wendy Corsi Staub years ago. Good to see she is still going strong.
My adult kids use the car service, the delivery services, the pick up at the supermarkets– they certainly have it easier than I had it at their age!

    1. Thanks, Mia, the plates used to be in a rack that held all four, and it looked good. But my daughter lost it along the way. Sigh. But…I think this new system works, too.

I also use all the delivery and car services, but that’s because I no longer have a car! Now I think I prefer not having the hassle and expense of a car!

      Enjoy your week.

I wrote down pivoting and some of the other shows you mentioned. I am resisting the urge to watch Bridgerton all over again or get involved in a show period because of the time and addiction (it takes its toll)

I try Door Dash before and all I can say is that my food get deliver. I don’t even get to see the delivery person that drop it off. I guess that the dash in Door Dash.

Like you Laurel, I’ve been venturing out a bit more as the cases are really down around here. Had my hair cut on Friday and stopped in a few shops as well. Hope the coming week is a good one.

  6. I’ve used Door Dash a few times and it got expensive once or twice between the delivery fee and tipping, but it is nice to have food delivered!

Hope you like The PAris Apartment! I loved it.

  7. The dining corner looks lovely — and nostalgic. I like the Mickey and Pluto statute too..
Glad you enjoyed the reading and watching. We used Door Dash at the office when no one wanted to make the drive out. I was surprised our small town offered the service but it is nice to have the option.
Have a good week and Happy Reading!

  8. The Baker’s Rack looks fantastic. I bet you get a lot of happiness from seeing all the things you have collected there.

Let’s see what you think about The Paris Apartment. I thought it was just okay.

It’s great that you have so many ways to get around and to get the foods you want to eat.

    1. Thanks, Deb, and yes, I like looking at my collections, sitting down to eat while gazing about…LOL, I will probably start using Door Dash instead of going out.

So far I’m enjoying The Paris Apartment, although I haven’t actually figured out what happened to Ben yet!

  9. My town doesn’t have a lot of food delivery options, nor Lyft or Uber though we do have two taxi’s. I still go grocery shopping but I wear a mask, it’s a small inconvenience offset against the long term risks of CoVid though.
Your Butchers rack looks like it belongs

Wishing you a great reading week

    1. Thanks, Shelleyrae, I love that I have finally found some of my favorite collectibles and put together this new Rack.

Now I am looking around to see what else I can find! I know, obsessed.

I am enjoying the deliveries…although I would like to go out to shops more. Perhaps soon?

      Enjoy your week.

  10. Great looking books..
I have used Door Dash on occasion and was happy with them. I usually cook or we go through the drive through for takeout.
I use Instacart always. They have not disappointed me yet. I shop at Kroger and they use the same person to shop and deliver. I’ll never use Walmart again for delivery. I’ve had a horrible time with that one. They never showed up three times and said they delivered. I had to go through way to much to do that one again. I will use them for shipping but not delivery from store. I did get refunded by the way but the experience was so horrible and really left me stressed….

    1. Thanks, Linda, my Instacart is usually with the Save Mart down the street where I used to shop when I actually went to the stores.

I had two bad experiences with Instacart, with items missing and trouble with refunds. But the office staff sorted it okay and I am now very careful when the deliveries arrive.

I don’t like Walmart for shopping, so I wouldn’t try them for delivery.

Enjoy your week and your books.

I had a pretty quiet week. Today has already been busier than all of last week. I like that you are getting your space comfortable for you and decorated as you wish. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  12. Your dining area looks wonderful! I am so glad that the baker’s rack is up and it looks amazing. I have not tried Door Dash or Instacart. It could be a good option. I hope that you have a great week!

    1. Thanks, Carole, I am happy about my dining area, with my Coca Cola table and chairs and the Baker’s Rack. Adding some Disney trinkets and Engelbreit goodies make it all so great for me.

I love options available like Door Dash and Instacart. The Pandemic probably made these things more important in our lives. Let’s enjoy them!

      Have a great week.
