COFFEE CHAT: GOODBYE TO MY VISITORS…

What a great month this has been!  On September 7, my eldest son joined us here, and even though he visited others throughout the state, he spent most of his time in my little town.  We enjoyed dinners, outings, and time watching favorite movies on TV.  My son helped me set up my TV service to include my subscription shows by signing into them.  Who knew?  LOL

He flew home on Wednesday, but he had a few detours along the way as airlines did their thing by rerouting and cancelling.  Now he is back with his wife…and soaking his feet after standing in long lines along the way.

After he left my city, he flew to Las Vegas to spend time with my No. 2 son, and then fly to LAX the next day.  Here the two of them are, enjoying a drink at The Tilted Kilt, just off the Vegas strip.

And in Vegas, Craig poses before a sign:

Now I have cleared my space and added a few changes. My son moved one of my chairs to the living room for comfort, and that works for me, too:

WEEKLY UPDATES: LOST IN LOVELY MOMENTS…

Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.

**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

It was a great week, but I only read two books. I spent most of one day reading my second book, which was so lovely I lost myself in it.  Now my eyes are tired, but I have that satisfying feeling of time well spent.  Here I am, showing off the beautiful cover:

I enjoyed time with my granddaughter Fiona, who helped around the house while we chatted about our lives.  Here she is wearing a T-shirt I bought to show off a favorite icon (RBG):

On Amazon Prime this week:  Instant Family, and a Season 3 Episode of The Good Fight, on CBS-All Access.

Now I am ready for a nap, but instead…I’ll grab another cup of coffee and take a closer look at the week.

WEEKLY UPDATES: THIS & THAT…

Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.

**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

A hot week with cozy times in air-conditioned rooms.  Some family time, some outings, and very little reading or blogging.

The family time centered around Remembering Jessica, my step-granddaughter lost to us last week.  We are focusing on the happy memories of her…and her free spirit.  Below, Diana and Jessica at the beach as little girls.

With my thoughts on family and mourning a lost life, I managed to read and review only two books, but one was a NetGalley ARC, and the other was a purchased book that engaged me throughout.  I wrote only 4 blog posts!  That’s a first, I think.

I enjoyed new episodes on The Handmaid’s Tale, Season II.  I’m streaming on the new BluRay player in my bedroom.

Tomorrow I plan to watch another episode of The Good Fight, Season II.  And maybe I will read and blog more this week.  Speaking of blogging, I loved re-watching the Julie & Julia movie the other night…have you seen it?  She blogged about food…and then wrote the book on which the movie was based.  Yes, old news.

So…let’s grab some coffee and chat.
