Now that I have moved to a much smaller space, I am searching my photo files to resurrect some old favorites…things left behind.  Like Disney characters; old books (behind the doll are the first three Nancy Drew books); and the little doll center stage that suits my quirky needs.

Then I love spotlighting some Disney characters with my Kindle.

Like my love of my favorite objects, I enjoy changing up the blogs.  Like this one, for starters.

So…I have a new look on this blog…again.  Some familiar images, and then the one in the middle makes me smile.  A reading woman surrounded by books!

My restless spirit thrives on seeking out these images, and changing things up in my surroundings.  A little obsessive?  Probably, but who cares?  LOL

I am also buying up hardcover and paperback books to grow my bookshelf.  It will never have as many books as I once had, but if I fill it up, I can call it a library…sort of.

Here is today’s progress, with recent additions.  I also have two stacks of unread books that will show up here soon. I am prepared to cut down on the photos shown to allow room for more books.

Now…I am off to read more books for my Nonfiction Challenge…and an e-book thriller.

What obsessive (or simply routine) tasks are keeping you busy today?

Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.

**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

Good morning, bloggers.  Are you enjoying your reading?  Are movies helping you through the boring and/or dark days?  I am doing the best I can to avoid negativity, which is not easy to do when it shows up on every news outlet and social networking site.  I could try to avoid those places…and when I am reading, I can actually blank them out.  If I am reading a book that completely captivates me.  I only read and reviewed two books again this week, but I did enjoy some movies, like A Simple Favor and a strange little family drama on Prime with Bill Pullman and Angelica Huston called Trouble.

When I get restless, bored, or feel distraught, I sometimes mess around with my blogs, so I changed a few blog headers this week.  I have a feeling that I’m not done.

I went a little nuts with the “click to buy” feature on Amazon…and bought five books.

So…let’s grab some coffee and take a closer look at my week.  I met a friend for coffee at Barnes & Noble on Wednesday (she is facing us below).  We had a nice long chat along with the caffeine.

My moods are dictating my reading, so I picked up a few books before settling on Those Other Women, by Nicola Moriarty.

I have some other Moriarty books on Paige, my Kindle…I may pick up one or more of them later.

That was my somewhat tepid week, but for the most part, I kept the negativity at bay.  What did your week look like?  I enjoyed some Red Velvet Cake & ice cream, with my coffee.  I took half the cake home to savor later.

On April 21, 2008, I created my very first blog.  It was on Blogger, and I called it Laurel-Rain Snow’s Creations.  I later changed its title to Story Corner.

When I started moving over to Word Press, creating blogs here, I still hung onto that first blog.  But eventually, I deleted it, having moved some of the content over to this blog and others.  This blog was my first on Word Press, launched on June 22, 2009.  Several name changes followed over the years (Explorations, Reflections, & Meditations), as I merged a few of my Blogger sites (after I had gone a little crazy creating so many).

Check out the story of my blogging journey here.

Rainy Days & Mondays was my last blog to come to Word Press, and while I didn’t move all the content when I recreated it here on December 3, 2014, I did bring over most of my reviews.

Because I have had so many blogs (now I have six), and because they have gone through so many incarnations, I seldom celebrate the blogoversaries.

But occasionally I do like to mention how my journey began.

Here are the blogoversaries of my current sites:

An Interior Journey –  June 22, 2009

Potpourri – July 11, 2009

Curl up and Read – October 22, 2009

Snow Sparks – May 10, 2010

Serendipity – August 4, 2010

Rainy Days and Mondays  – August 16, 2009 on Blogger

What do you remember (and celebrate) about your blogging journey?

Good morning, and welcome to my Interior World.

For the past few months, I have been so focused on my own “interiors,” and haven’t changed up the blog look.  So….why did I have to do it today?

I don’t know, honestly, as the itch strikes out of the blue…and I can’t stop myself.  An obsession?  Compulsion?  Yes, take your pick.

As I looked around my home today, I couldn’t find anything to change there…and those who read my blogs know that I am constantly rearranging things.

I did find a new frame for one of my Ireland photos…the previous frame fell off the wall and broke a few weeks ago, when I hit it while vacuuming…that’ll teach me to do that!  LOL

Just so I wouldn’t jinx things, I moved the new framed photo to another wall.  The one on the far left, is the reframed picture (shot by my photographer son in Dublin); the one next to it is a shot of old men in an Irish pub, also shot by my son (the Berliner, recently visiting in my hot city).

And across the room, you’ll notice a Red Hat banner, where the photo once lived; and beneath it, to the right, the Coca Cola jukebox, previously residing in my dining area.

Just in case you missed the dining room changes, shown in at least three other blog posts (LOL), here’s the new look….minus the jukebox, and with a country cupboard on that wall.  It frees up some space, which I noticed to be lacking when I had house guests trooping through to my coffee pot every morning.

I did some more changes.  Once I get started, I have a hard time stopping.  I switched the pub table and the loveseat….and rearranged some of the figurines on the bookshelf.

Do you like changing up your blog appearance?  Your home interiors?  Your outdoor world?  Come on by and share.
