WEEKLY UPDATES: A COZY WEEK…

Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon and The Sunday Post for weekly updates.

Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

Welcome to another weekly update!  I had a cozy week, with two great books read and reviewed.  I only wrote three blog posts, as I was (again) binge-watching shows and movies.  I enjoyed all six episodes of Harry and Meghan on Netflix, re-watched some old favorite movies, and even had fun scrolling through titles and catching up on Three Pines.

Here we are approaching Christmas next week!  Then comes the New Year.  I spent a little time on my Curl up and Read blog, setting up pages for my books read, purchased and reviewed for the upcoming year.  Sadly, Block Editor is not conducive to setting things up the way I like them, so I had to modify the look of the pages.  Sigh.  HATE Block Editor.

Now let’s take a closer look at the week.

That was my week!  What did yours look like?  This past week, I enjoyed a coffee with a friend at Barnes & Noble, so I felt like my “old self” for a bit.  We used to regularly visit that place back in the day, before the Pandemic.

  1. I always use the Classic Editor and that works best for me! I spent the afternoon viewing to keep you company! I watched the Sandra Oh 6 episodes about being a professor at a university. A bit yuck in parts but I still enjoyed it. I am not sure where I’ll be able to watch Three Pines. No rush though.

      1. When I open a new post I just click the plus sign on the right and type in classic and it brings up all that I need in the old style. This may not be enough for you though and perhaps you already do that. I do find it makes it much easier because its all what we used to do.

  2. Hey Laurel, hope you have a great Christmas week. This month has gone by quickly. We are watching & enjoying the Slow Horses series lately and started The White Lotus, though don’t know what to think of it yet. Much to binge & read this week. Have fun.

    1. Thanks, AJ, I live close to our Barnes & Noble. In fact, in my previous apartment, I was within walking distance.

I don’t spend much money on books there, as I do most purchases online. I just love the coffee and pastry and chatting!

    1. Thanks, Shelleyrae, I do that when writing my posts, but I haven’t figured out how to create my bookshelf pages for books purchased, read, and reviewed.

I long for the old way of doing things, lol. Enjoy your week.

  3. I prefer working in classic too. There is a toggle on the right hand side but I had to hunt to find it when it first switched to block.
My assistant loved the Crawdad Sings movie. I haven’t read the book yet but keep eyeing it.
I hope you have a very happy week and Merry Christmas.
