Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon and The Sunday Post for weekly updates.
Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

Welcome to another weekly update! I had a cozy week, with two great books read and reviewed. I only wrote three blog posts, as I was (again) binge-watching shows and movies. I enjoyed all six episodes of Harry and Meghan on Netflix, re-watched some old favorite movies, and even had fun scrolling through titles and catching up on Three Pines.
Here we are approaching Christmas next week! Then comes the New Year. I spent a little time on my Curl up and Read blog, setting up pages for my books read, purchased and reviewed for the upcoming year. Sadly, Block Editor is not conducive to setting things up the way I like them, so I had to modify the look of the pages. Sigh. HATE Block Editor.
Now let’s take a closer look at the week.

That was my week! What did yours look like? This past week, I enjoyed a coffee with a friend at Barnes & Noble, so I felt like my “old self” for a bit. We used to regularly visit that place back in the day, before the Pandemic.
Enjoy the upcoming week and the holidays!

I love that you were able to meet your friend at B&N for coffee. I hope the new year provides many more opportunities to do normal things again. Enjoy your week and your new books!

I wish things would get back to normal and stay that way. Seems like it’s never going to happen.
I am looking forward to Megan Goldin’s book also.
Have a great week!!

Oh, so do I, Linda! I guess our reading is the closest thing we have to normal…and a few good movies! Enjoy!

I always use the Classic Editor and that works best for me! I spent the afternoon viewing to keep you company! I watched the Sandra Oh 6 episodes about being a professor at a university. A bit yuck in parts but I still enjoyed it. I am not sure where I’ll be able to watch Three Pines. No rush though.

Thanks, Kathryn, how do you access the Classic Editor? There are some versions of it on Block Editor, but not enough to work out for me. Sigh.

When I open a new post I just click the plus sign on the right and type in classic and it brings up all that I need in the old style. This may not be enough for you though and perhaps you already do that. I do find it makes it much easier because its all what we used to do.

Thanks, Kathryn, I will try that! I have been frustrated by the challenges, and although I have managed much of it with Block Editor, my efforts to set up my book pages have been difficult.

Mine was very busy and with many of us suffering from a cold! Enjoy Meghan and Harry’s series.

Thanks, Sophie, I loved all six episodes of the season. I hope there will be more!
I have something resembling a cold, but it’s not too bad. My nose is red, though! LOL

Hey Laurel, hope you have a great Christmas week. This month has gone by quickly. We are watching & enjoying the Slow Horses series lately and started The White Lotus, though don’t know what to think of it yet. Much to binge & read this week. Have fun.

So great that you were able to meet your friend at B&N for coffee! We are slowly adding in activities we haven’t done since before the pandemic, too, and it feels wonderful, even though we do it cautiously. Hope you have a good week and enjoy the holidays!

Thanks, JoAnn, it is great to enjoy former activities, although caution is always part of today’s New Normal.
Enjoy your week.

Wonderful to have a visit with a friend and even better to have that visit in a bookstore! Some weeks just demand some binge watching! I hope you have a wonderful week.

Thanks, Cheryl, I will never feel comfortable with aspects of Block Editor, especially when I’m doing something outside the box.
Enjoy your week and your Christmas.

I miss Barnes & Noble. It’s far away, and I’m currently trying to cut down on non-essential trips. Also, I spend way too much money when I’m there. 🙂 I hope you have a great Christmas!

Thanks, AJ, I live close to our Barnes & Noble. In fact, in my previous apartment, I was within walking distance.
I don’t spend much money on books there, as I do most purchases online. I just love the coffee and pastry and chatting!

Sounds like a nice week. I’ve been taking a break and listening to old favorites this week before I resume reading review books. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

I’ve been watching Three Pines too.
I don’t know if this will help but I create a blank page and then just use the classic block just as if it was the old editor.
Wishing you a great reading week and a joyous holiday season!

Thanks, Shelleyrae, I do that when writing my posts, but I haven’t figured out how to create my bookshelf pages for books purchased, read, and reviewed.
I long for the old way of doing things, lol. Enjoy your week.

I prefer working in classic too. There is a toggle on the right hand side but I had to hunt to find it when it first switched to block.
My assistant loved the Crawdad Sings movie. I haven’t read the book yet but keep eyeing it.
I hope you have a very happy week and Merry Christmas.

Thanks, Martha, I will try finding that toggle.
I was surprised by how much I loved Where the Crawdads Sing. Hope you do, too, and Merry Christmas.
