Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon and The Sunday Post for weekly updates.

Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

My week was fabulous!  Just as my actual birthday is right around the corner, my surprises continue from unexpected places and sources.  Lunches out, a birthday dinner with my daughter that turned out to include my No. 2 son who had driven up from Las Vegas.  And then I ended up reading and reviewing three books, writing three blog posts, and going to the doctor to get my third COVID booster and my flu shot.

Next week will bring even more, as my granddaughter is taking me out on Monday and my oldest friend is taking me to dinner on Wednesday.  So can I say it has definitely been a good week?

Now let’s take a quick look at my reading and blogging.

That was my week.  What did yours look like? After last night’s dinner that included my unexpected No. 2 son, we went to hang out at a local bar for drinks.

  1. Your week was fabulous! I love that and what a lovely surprise that you saw your son. And hanging around bars! So what is next!! Have a great week coming up, reading and otherwise. I guess we won’t get our third booster until our winter rolls around. I like it that you sample it first!!

    1. Thanks, Kathryn, I was thrilled to see my son show up unexpectedly, and then he spent the night on the Murphy bed, so we had breakfast the next day, too.

Luckily, the booster shot didn’t give me any problems, which has been the case with them all…so far.

  2. Great family picture! You and your daughter look so much alike! This is my birthday month, too, but I’m only celebrating by taking a long weekend, not for the whole month. 😉 Last year was a big birthday, so that was a year-long celebration.
I listened to a Nicci French book (Blue Monday) and liked it, but for some reason never went back to the second book in the series. The Favor looks like a stand-alone, so maybe I’ll try that!

  3. Yay for a great weekend and happy early birthday! I’m a big believer of celebrating my birthday for at least a month and hope you get lots of celebrating and fun stuff in. The Favor looks good. That’s an author I really want to read more from. Have a wonderful week.

    1. Thanks, Katherine, I have been having long birthday celebrations for the past few years, but this year has had the most, probably because it’s a BIG birthday number, lol.

I loved The Favor, and hope you enjoy it, too.
