My week was a great one! I read and reviewed two books, wrote five blog posts, did some viewing…and went on two outings! One was a birthday lunch with my daughter (to celebrate hers), and the other was shopping with my granddaughter.
My viewing: I finished The Gilmore Girls and started Parenthood. Yes, I seem to be enjoying the oldies.
My lunch with my daughter: we had drinks and delicious food: I had a salmon sandwich, minus the bread, and she had something with steak. Martinis and Margaritas!
Now let’s take a closer look at my week.

That was my week. I found a Murphy bed for my space! Yes, I had planned on a sofa bed, but this one folds up into a beautiful cabinet, with storage, and opens to a queen-sized bed. A comfy one! It arrived today, and here is a photo. And I got a replacement for my Boyd’s Bears Circle of Family from e-bay. See the centerpiece at the bottom. I am excited. Below, enjoying a Margarita.
What did your week look like?

Sounds like a wonderful week! I’m so glad you found what sounds like the perfect murphy bed! Your lunch looks and sounds amazing! I hope you have a wonderful week and enjoy your reading.

Parenthood is amazing too and of course it also has Lauren Graham. Murphy beds are so cool. Here’s my Sunday post: https://bonniereadsandwrites.com/2022/08/28/sunday-post-time-to-de-stress-relax-happyplace-deepcreek/

Thanks, Bonnie, I do enjoy the actors in Parenthood, and I’m definitely a fan of Lauren Graham. I also like Peter Krause, who portrays Adam…and for several years (until about a year ago), he and Lauren Graham were a couple.
I hadn’t even thought of a Murphy bed, but the sofa beds were going to take three months to arrive, so when I asked if they had anything else that might work, they steered me to the Murphy beds!

Thanks, Mary, I hadn’t thought of going with a Murphy, but when the salesman said the sofa beds would take three months to arrive, I asked for other options. And found myself falling in love with the cabinet version of a Murphy bed. Loving it!

Your place is looking nice! That chest by the window is a pretty piece of furniture. And thank goodness for margaritas. I had a couple good ones in Newport Beach recently when I was in Calif. and they made all the difference. 🙂 But I’m back home now and we just started watching 5 Days at Memorial which is on Apple+TV. Hope you have a great week.

Your meals look very tasty! Your week sounds great, especially finding furniture that doesn’t take forever — it seems as if these days they have to wait for the tree to grow, be cut down into lumber, and then manufacture whatever we need.

Thanks, Mae, it is definitely challenging to find furniture and other goods, even though things are improving a bit. But I don’t like waiting months for things….so I was happy to find my Murphy bed and have it delivered the same week.
I am looking forward to my books. Enjoy yours.

Nice to see pictures of you and your daughter, along with the food and drinks, and I always love seeing your home decorating projects! Wow to the Murphy bed! I always thought they had to be installed, too. I wish we had thought of that instead of the pull-out futon couch.
The Joyce Carol Oates book you’re reading especially intrigues me! Seems like it might be a good one for the Sept/Oct RIP Challenge…

I am trying to convince my husband to build me a kind of murphy bed for my sewing room. I want one at the right height so I can cut fabric on it when it isn’t in use.
