What a good week!  Some great reading, but only two books read and reviewed.  Six blog posts, and I enjoyed watching a few old and new movies.  The newest one that kept me glued to the screen was The Desperate Hour, with Naomi Watts, on Hulu.

Today I have already shopped for groceries so that the weekend will include delicious things.

My blogging has improved since I started using the Google Chrome browser, as I can now comment on Blogger posts!  I was always able to do so, since I had a Blogger profile from back in the day.  But something changed.  Then my Prague son advised me on how Google Chrome would fix that issue.

Now let’s take a closer look at my week.

    1. Thanks, Emma, I don’t know when it changed, but before the recent blog events, I was always able to comment…since I had a Blogger profile. When it changed, I admit that I panicked a bit. I am glad to have found a fix! Enjoy your week.

  1. May you really enjoy the 4th celebrations. My eye is caught by The Palace Papers. I am an unashamed royalist. I know I have reserved a recent book on them at the library and must check is it this one. I think it is but not sure.

Glad you were able to get a new umbrella. And that palace papers book looks great. I had the opportunity to do improv with a british accent and posted the recording to my blog. I love all things british.

    1. Thanks, Emily Jane, my eldest son has been my tutor on technology, beginning back in the early 2000s when he trained me on using the computer.

So I still turn to him with any issues.

Enjoy your week, and I just had two cups of coffee outdoors under the umbrella!

      1. I have my partner to help me out. The irony was that when I was working people always used to ask me for help! I wonder if when I return that will still be the case…

Thank you. Excellent! I love the colours 🙂

  4. I use chrome and really like it. I was just joking the other day about using Internet Explorer back in the day lol. I’ve been having a heck of a time with comments though if I use a different device than I normally use, and of course incoming comments too.

Hope you have lots of delicious things for the holiday! Happy 4th! Love the patio!

  5. I switched to using Chrome for blogging a few years ago, but recently I’ve had trouble uploading photos into my blog from Chrome. Sigh.

Your new patio umbrella looks great. You should get a lot of use out of it this summer.

The Second Husband sounds like a good read. Enjoy.

  6. I had to switch to Google Chrome for blog commenting a while ago, and now everything seems to be fine. Glad that solved your commenting problem, too! The Palace Papers keeps catching my eye… I’ll be curious to hear what you think of it. Love the new umbrella!

  7. I am so glad that Chrome helped you solve some of the problems that you have been having. That’s the browser that I use most of the time. It sounds like you had a great week. Love your new umbrella!

  8. I’ll have to check using Google Chrome when I am visiting other blogs. Thanks for that tip.
Sounds like you had a good week. I like the looks of your umbrella and hope you get to enjoy it.
The second husband looks interesting. Happy Reading!

    1. Thanks, Martha, I had resisted leaving Firefox, having used it from the beginning…but I had to admit that there were so many issues, so when my Prague son encouraged me to do so, I leaped over to Google Chrome. Enjoy your week.

  9. I’m a casual Royal follower, so I’m interested in THE PALACE PAPERS. I’ve heard that the writer doesn’t hide her bias, but that almost adds to the appeal in some strange way?

    Anyway, have a wonderful week!

    1. Thanks, Melinda, I think I joined the Royal Bandwagon with Diana’s entrance into the “firm.” But actually, I saw the Queen’s coronation when I was in elementary school, so that might have started it all. Now I can’t get enough of them. Have a great week!

I’ve used Google Chrome for years, but for some reason, they stopped letting me save the images from Blogger (which they own) to make permanent images instead of links in my posts. So I’ve started using Microsoft Edge when I create my blog posts.

I used to use Chrome all the time, but I switched to Microsoft Edge because my games seem to work better. I’m glad the switch solved your posting problems. Nice looking umbrella. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    1. Thanks, Jen, I wouldn’t have imagined that changing the browser would solve that problem! So glad to know.

I am enjoying the new umbrella…and hopefully even a few windy days won’t break it!
