WEEKLY UPDATES: A GREAT WEEK…

Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon and The Sunday Post for weekly updates.

Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

Another great week!  I  read and reviewed three books, and I loved them all.  I only wrote five blog posts, though, as I spent time viewing shows and movies.  A movie called Together gave us a peek at a family going through the Pandemic; and I watched new episodes of The Drop Out and The Girl from Plainville.

My Amazon orders kept me happily engaged, and one of them was (finally) the technician who assembled my new Hall Tree. I enjoyed arranging the room to accommodate it.

That was my week.  I went out on Saturday afternoon for Fish & Chips at Mad Duck.  Delicious!  I also have a plan to enjoy breakfast with a friend on Monday.

Meanwhile, one of my Amazon orders today was this perky handbag:

I thought it was time I bought something other than furnishings!

What did your week look like?

  1. Great to hear your hall tree is finally built; that you loved all three books you read; and got to enjoy a trip out of fish & chips! Yum! 😋 My own week didn’t involve lots of reading or viewing, but it was a lovely time at work doing lots of nice end of term/Easter activities. 🥚 Take care and happy reading!

    1. Thanks, Jessica, I wasn’t sure when I would get out again, but once my new handbag arrived yesterday, I felt it needed an outing, LOL.

I am very happy to have my new hall tree, and even though it pales in comparison to the one I used to have in my condo three years ago, it works very well here.

      Enjoy your week!

  2. You have a good eye for Amazon purchases! I love that Hall Tree above! So pretty, and so is your handbag.
I read Moment in Time and really enjoyed it. It was better for me because I read the first one that laid out the backstory of the characters. Not sure if you read the previous one. Spindler, Weiner, and Carr are all authors I enjoy reading. I want to get that new Robyn Carr.

Have a good week and hope you find other titles that you want to read this week!

  3. You’ve reminded me that I need to try a Lutz book – I’m sure I’ve picked up a couple along the way when on Kindle sale. Enjoy your new additions to the apartment and purse collection. Have a good week ahead!

    1. Thanks, Shelleyrae, I think that I’ve been visualizing the hall tree there for a while now. Measuring spaces and planning for it. I didn’t think there was room for one, but when I moved some of the other cabinets to the bedroom it worked.

Enjoy your week and your books!

    1. Thanks, Kay, I think Amanda Seyfried is doing a great job in the role. I saw a documentary with the actual person, and I realize how annoying I find her!

Looking forward to The Accomplice. Enjoy your week.

    1. Thanks, Melinda, the Pandemic certainly contributed to my online shopping, mostly Amazon. Then the grocery deliveries followed. Now I can’t imagine shopping any other way.

Although I do long to shop for furniture in an actual store, since the items can be delivered already assembled!

      Enjoy your week!

    1. Thanks, Kathryn, I have three handbags now by the same “designer,” Anna. I like her styles.

I am so happy to have the tree assembled. I would love to go into an actual store someday and buy something that can be delivered, already assembled, though.

I did that with my little loveseat, and it was nice.

      Enjoy your week.

    1. Thanks, Erin, I have been obsessed with handbags for a few years. I have a hall tree just for them. LOL.

Ever since the Pandemic stopped my mani-pedis from happening, I now only buy some form of boot. Ankle boots are my favorites. I use them year round!

I don’t tromp through any puddles, LOL, but they are comfortable and easy.

      Enjoy your week!

I got some new kitchenware from Amazon this week and a print book. I’ve decided I like getting actual packages from Amazon but don’t really need more physical stuff. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    1. Thanks, Deb, I have a purse obsession, but my newest ones are not as expensive as the Dooney-Bourke ones I used to collect! This one is part of a group of three I have added to my collection, and I like that they are unique.

      Enjoy your week and Paris!

    1. Thanks, Cheryl, I actually wish for the times I could go into a store and order something already assembled that could be delivered to my apartment. Much simpler even than having someone assemble it in my home.

      Enjoy your week!
