Another good week, with lots of blogging (nine posts!), but only two books read and reviewed.  However, they were good ones.  I started watching The Drop Out, on Hulu, and enjoyed some old shows and movies, like Big Little Lies.  I then started watching Pieces of Her on Netflix, based on a Karin Slaughter book I read and loved in 2018.

On Saturday, I went to Mimi’s to enjoy French pot roast, and then yesterday, I took a Lyft ride to Mad Duck and savored Fish and Chips!  I brought half of my lunch home and had the other bit for dinner.

Let’s take a closer look at the week.

    1. Thanks, Greg, I was craving the fish and chips and trying to decide between having the food delivered or going to the restaurant. I was wanting a margarita, and they don’t deliver those, LOL. Easy choice.

I hadn’t watched Big Little Lies for a long time…so I was glad to watch it again. I even picked up on a few things I missed the first time, since the flashes during the scenes didn’t always show us everything.

      Enjoy your week.

  1. It sounds like you had a wonderful week with some fun outings, and some good food. Well done on keeping up with everything… I haven’t done a weekend post in over six months, so I felt it was time to touch base with my blogger friends this weekend.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

Sounds like a super week. I haven’t heard about ‘Pieces of Her’. I did get a chance to watch ‘The woman next door to the girl in the window”

  3. I’ve been tempted to watch Pieces of Her, but I think I need to read the book first. Or perhaps not. Oh I don’t know!

I am glad to hear you’ve had a good week and you were certainly productive on the blog! I hope this upcoming week will treat you well too.

    Happy reading!!

  4. Ooo French pot roast and fish and chips… Yum! Well done on writing so many blog posts, too. I am woefully behind on my reviews and haven’t found much time for reading either, as I have just been so busy! Take care and happy reading. 🙂

    1. Thanks, JoAnn, I have been getting out and about more, now that Lyft is working pretty well. I went out again today, enjoying some of that French pot roast again. Yum! But fish and chips is probably my favorite lately.

      Enjoy your week.

Another good week for you. So how good is The Dropout and Pieces of Her? Do you like one show more than the other? We don’t get Hulu or Netflix but we get Prime, AppleTV+ and HBO … so we are a bit out of luck on those shows … but other good shows are coming … Have a great week.

    1. I actually loved Pieces of Her more and totally binged the whole season! I’ll keep watching The Dropout, though.

I don’t have Apple TV, however, so I miss out on shows there. I love Prime and HBO Max.

      Enjoy your week!

  6. Oh, I love fish and chips! I usually either try to take half of my meal home or share a meal with my mom when I go out to eat. The portions are just way too large! It sounds like you had a wonderful week. I am really curious about Night Shift and cannot wait to see what you think of it.

  7. I watched the first episode of Pieces of Her last weekend. Yikes! I don’t think I’ll binge it but I’ll tune in for episode two very soon. I read the book a few years ago and had forgotten how intense it was!

  8. I definitely want to watch PIECES OF HER, but I’m hoping to read the book first. I have yet to read anything by Karin Slaughter, but I heard an interview with her and she sounds like an author I would like.

    Have a great week!

The fish and chips do look good. Nice that you are finding Netflix shows for books you like.

It is nice that you are able to get out to restaurants again. I’m looking forward to snow-free roads so that I can try out some new places. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  11. I love fish and chips, but my stomach isn’t a huge fan of fried foods these days. I have to limit myself. I think my soda days are coming to an end, too. Sigh.

Your incoming books sound fabulous. Hope you enjoy them. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog today.
