Another good week, with lots of blogging (nine posts!), but only two books read and reviewed. However, they were good ones. I started watching The Drop Out, on Hulu, and enjoyed some old shows and movies, like Big Little Lies. I then started watching Pieces of Her on Netflix, based on a Karin Slaughter book I read and loved in 2018.
On Saturday, I went to Mimi’s to enjoy French pot roast, and then yesterday, I took a Lyft ride to Mad Duck and savored Fish and Chips! I brought half of my lunch home and had the other bit for dinner.
Let’s take a closer look at the week.

The fish and chips look delicious! And ooh Big Little Lies- that was a fun show. 🙂

Thanks, Greg, I was craving the fish and chips and trying to decide between having the food delivered or going to the restaurant. I was wanting a margarita, and they don’t deliver those, LOL. Easy choice.
I hadn’t watched Big Little Lies for a long time…so I was glad to watch it again. I even picked up on a few things I missed the first time, since the flashes during the scenes didn’t always show us everything.
Enjoy your week.

I had forgotten that I read the Slaughter book (in 2018), so reading it before seeing the show is not necessary, IMO.
Enjoy your week!

Another good week for you. So how good is The Dropout and Pieces of Her? Do you like one show more than the other? We don’t get Hulu or Netflix but we get Prime, AppleTV+ and HBO … so we are a bit out of luck on those shows … but other good shows are coming … Have a great week.

I actually loved Pieces of Her more and totally binged the whole season! I’ll keep watching The Dropout, though.
I don’t have Apple TV, however, so I miss out on shows there. I love Prime and HBO Max.
Enjoy your week!

Oh, I love fish and chips! I usually either try to take half of my meal home or share a meal with my mom when I go out to eat. The portions are just way too large! It sounds like you had a wonderful week. I am really curious about Night Shift and cannot wait to see what you think of it.
