Another great week in which I read and reviewed three books. I only wrote five blog posts, but I had fun watching movies and shows, finishing up the final episode of And Just Like That and beginning Season II of Sweet Magnolias on Netflix. I also finished the fourth season of Ozark.
During the week, I grabbed Lyft and went to a dental appointment. Not a fun trip, but it was an outing, of course. I do enjoy the staff at the office and love catching up with them. That’s what happens when a Pandemic keeps us so isolated! We are grateful for every little thing.
I continued rearranging my rooms…and tell myself that I’m cleaning house, LOL. It’s true, though. Changing up the interiors can morph into housework. I still enjoy having my own washer and dryer again, too, which means that I don’t mind doing laundry.
Now let’s take a closer look at my week.

That was my week! Good books, good movies, and an outing to the dentist! Below is my book cupboard, now in my bedroom. In it are my unread print books.

I’m not sure if my comment went through, so I’m tryin again. 🙂 I love your home! Your book cupboard is lovely! Your post on The Maid made me even more eager to read it! 🙂

Thanks, Mia, I am happily settling in to my new home, even though I am still working away at making it feel just right. I always enjoy unique objects, like shelves and cupboards.
I hope you enjoy The Maid, too.

I have the Maid on my list. And I think I started Ozark once upon a time. Should revisit it.
Hope you are having a nice and relaxing weekend!

Thanks, Greg, I enjoyed The Maid…and Ozark, too, although there is always such a lengthy period between the seasons, IMO, so it takes me a while to get back into the groove of the show.
Enjoy your week.

Mind you Laurel, we are now happy to go to the dentist to talk with the staff! Who would have guessed lol

Enjoy, Sophie! I especially like how they talk about things that interest me. That might not happen in every dentist’s office, but I am lucky with mine.
Enjoy your week.

Rearranging rooms can work wonders for the psyche. I remember when the snow really got to my spirit and I cleaned and rearranged furniture and I tricked my mind into thinking I was somewhere fabulous.

Thanks, Trin, rearranging furniture for me feels like buying a new look!
I also love looking at design books and magazines…I get ideas that spur me on.
Enjoy!

Thanks, Emma, I have enjoyed this show from the beginning, although I often forget where we left off, since there is so much time between seasons.

Nice to be up and about, even with Lyft! I mean to start Ozark on Netflix. I heard it’s full of action! Have a great week.

Thanks, Harvee, Ozark is definitely full of action. And Lyft is a lifesaver for the transportation challenged! Enjoy your week.

Am also watching Sweet Magnolias season 2. I alternate between saying an appreciative aaawww at the tender scenes and hollering “spare me” when they seem too saccharine. I think it’s not the show, but the mood I’min.
This week is starting off very “bookish.” LOL

Thanks, Rae, our moods do dictate how much we enjoy a show. Have a great week.

The Maid was a very good read. I wonder if my book club might like it.
My big outing this week was to the eye doctor. I was happy to hear that I needed to get new glasses. Isn’t it crazy that I’m so excited about new glasses?!

Thanks, Deb, your eye doctor appointment was probably more fun than the dentist, although the dental appointment was just a cleaning, so no pain involved, LOL.

I really need to rearrange and purge things in my house. I wish I’d stop procrastinating on this.

A good week. Yes Covid gives me too an appreciation for every human interaction. Also for you having had changes you appreciate things we often take for granted, like out washing machines.

Thanks, Kathryn, I definitely appreciate the things I once took for granted. There were a lot of years living in apartments without a washer and dryer, so I have always been grateful.
The same is true about the human interaction. The past two years have really tested us.

I really enjoy watching Valerie Bertinelli co-host the Kids Baking Championship with Duff Goldman. I didn’t know she had a memoir. I should look into. I might enjoy it.

Thanks, Carole, I spent years having a washer and dryer handy, so when I moved into a residence without access to either, it was distressing! So glad to have the convenience again.
