Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon and The Sunday Post for weekly updates.

Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

It was another great week of reading.   I actually read and reviewed three books and wrote six blog posts.  I viewed some shows:  another two episodes of Just Like That, and started watching Season II of Emily in Paris.  I also recorded and watched The Kennedy Center Honors. Last night I watched a movie with Alfre Woodard called Clemency.  Sad!

I stayed up late! As a result, I didn’t wake up until 7:00 a.m.!  I have nothing planned for today except more shows and more reading.

I am struggling with my new iPhone!  It doesn’t fully charge.  My granddaughter says I charge it too soon, but I’ve been reading up on my model on Google…and I think that is not the problem.  But I did learn that I can use it while it’s charging…something I didn’t think was a good idea. Now I am charging it on a wall outlet instead of my surge protector strip.

We’ll see what happens!

Let’s take a closer look at my week.

  1. Good luck with the phone! They’re so tricky…

I love the look of the Laura Dave since I liked another one of her reads.

Merry christmas! My big celebration (well, little celebration) was yesterday – my mom came over- so today is a chill day 🙂

  2. I do have the Laura Dave book, I think 2022 should be when I get to it. I have picked my first book, which has a beachy cover – because you know summer down here! Hope the new iPhone works out, I’d be sending it back or going into the shop because it should charge fully.

    1. Thanks, Kathryn, and I just needed to plug the charger into a wall outlet instead of the surge protector! So far so good.

I hope you are enjoying your summer; I would probably have trouble adjusting to a summery Christmas, lol.

Oh yeah, I had problems with my phone not being charged because I would plug it into a surge protector that has an efficiency feature where some of the outlets only work if the ‘master’ outlet has something plugged in! Have a wonderful week! Glad you are enjoying reading time!

  5. The Last Thing He Told Me looks so good. I’ll have to check that one out. I’m happy for the First Book of the Year event. I just have to pick out which book that will be for me. Hope you have a great week. Happy New Year!

  6. I have another week off from work but I’m not sure what I’m going to do. Last week I finished up the holiday baking. We are having spring temps so maybe I will try to do some yard clean-up of leaves and limbs before the rain moves in later this week. Otherwise, it is books and I catching up on some streaming movies – I watched Being the Ricardos last night and really enjoyed it.

I hope you solve your phone problems. I have a new phone on the way since Tracfone says my current ancient phone won’t work after February. I seldom use the phone and have been hesitating to get a new one but the deadline and the sales were too much to resist. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
