WEEKLY UPDATES: MORE GOOD STUFF…

Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon and The Sunday Post for weekly updates.

Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

While this week was great, I only read and reviewed two books.  But they were good ones!  I also wrote six blog posts.  My viewing included the final episode of Nine Perfect Strangers and the whole first season of Clickbait.   I also watched a few old movies.

Below, note that I finally have the chairs to complete my Coca Cola dining set, and I am unbelievably thrilled!  Now I just have to start adding a few more of the Coca Cola collections…lol.  Or maybe not.

For now let’s take a closer look at my week.

  1. The chairs look great! I also “only” read two books this week but this made me reflect on how years ago I would have tried to make a thick paperback last a couple of weeks! How times have changed. Have a good week.

The Other side of the door sounds great. I’m going to have to add a few books this week and get real focused. The fall is always a great time of year for me, because it symbolizes new beginnings and so I hope I can get started on something new whether its a career or some personal growth conquest. The last two years have been the biggest growth for me, so I’ll have to examine what made those two years the greatest.

    1. Thanks, AJ, my smaller Coca Cola stuff fits nicely into my apartment. I still miss all that I had in the larger space a few years ago, though. I will not add too many other trinkets, lol.

Enjoy your week and your books!

  3. My husband, who only reads like a book a year –you can tell we are not cut from the same cloth!– is reading Peril this week. I hope you enjoy it (enjoy might be the wrong term for this).

And the Coca Cola dining set is back! Yay, happy for you to have your new place stamped with your own style again.

I like Hank Phillippi Ryan so might have to pick that one up soon. Also, Apples Never Fall. I’ve only read 2 by Moriarty and What Alice Forgot was the one I was really into. I’ll have to read your review of this one if you post it, to see if it’s a winner. Have a great week ahead!

    1. Thanks, Rita, I am so happy to finally have my personal “stamp” on my home. Who knew that I would find more Coca Cola stuff? I looked at a lot of stores, but the ones where I found my original furniture are out of business. But then I found these online!

I am hoping to start Peril soon…and I am a big fan of Bob Woodward.

I also like Hank Phillippi Ryan. I’m loving Liane Moriarty’s Apples Never Fall, too.

      Enjoy your week!

Love the Coca Cola table & chairs. Cute Cute Cute. We’ll try to get to the final episode tonight of Nine Perfect Strangers … looks like much action is going to come down. I hope the Peril book gives you know who hell. I’m so worried to think he’s going for reelection … must be stopped! Enjoy your week.

    1. Thanks, Susan, I am excited about the Coca Cola dining room furniture…and loving my books, too.

I keep hoping the Orange Man will be charged with several crimes before the 2024 election. I don’t think the country will survive another term with him!

  5. Did you enjoy Clickbait? It’s on my “to watch” list but haven’t heard much about it yet.
I loved your table last week but it looks even better with the chairs, I absolutely love it.

Have a good week and happy reading!

I didn’t watch the Nine Perfect Strangers series. I hope it was better than the book. I did love Apples Never Fall though and was glad to see Liane Moriarty back to her old writing style. Love the table and chairs, very iconic.

    1. Thanks, Veronica, I didn’t like the Nine Perfect Strangers book that much…the miniseries was better.

I am loving Apples Never Fall.

My table and chairs make me feel very cheerful in the mornings! LOL

      Enjoy your week.

Love the Coca Cola set, yay for its completion!! I also haven’t had a very productive reading week, but it was a great week nonetheless. I hope you enjoy all of your reading! I’m going to add ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ to my viewing list, I can’t wait to see Nicole Kidman as a weird spiritual healer. Have a lovely week 🙂

    1. Thanks, Erin, I first had similar vintage pieces in my previous home (before the “prison,” lol), and I felt so cheerful every morning as I walked into the space. So I knew I had to recreate that feeling when I got to move into my current apartment.

      Enjoy your week!

  8. Your Coca-Cola set is fabulously retro! What do you think of Peril? My father-in-law is currently reading, & thinks it drags too much (he’s still in the beginning & wants to “get to the action” lol)…

  9. Yay for the Coca Cola set! Looks great. And that is a snack I would like too.
I’m glad you liked your books last week and hope you enjoy your new ones too.
I’ll be interested in your thoughts on Peril.
Have a good week and Happy Reading!
