WEEKLY UPDATES: A GREAT WEEK…

Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.

Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

Another week has slipped by, with some great books read!  I also enjoyed more blogging this week, which usually means that I have spent a lot of time on the computer. Some of that time I was glued to my laptop streaming shows.  I am now rewatching The Good Wife, a series I haven’t seen since it was on the networks a while ago.

I have also been online ordering things from Amazon, some practical things for the household and other items to spark some fun during my ongoing lockdown.

Here is a cute bag that reminds me of my more bohemian days:  It will arrive tomorrow.

Let’s take a closer look at my week…after another cup of coffee:

  1. I so love the pocket book you bought. It’s beautiful. I loved the Good Wife when it originally aired. I wasn’t thrilled about the final season, though. I bought a few practical things from Amazon this week too. Your books look good. Enjoy them and have a great week!

    My Sunday Post is here.

    1. Oh, yes, remembering some tragedies at the end of The Good Wife, too, so it is hard to watch happy times knowing what lies ahead. Sigh.

The new bag is packed and ready for my short time in the dining room. Wouldn’t it be great to have “normal” outings again someday?

Even the practical things from Amazon feel like Christmas gifts. LOL.

Have a great week, Yvonne, and stay safe.

  2. Your week went well, Hon.
Mine was ok too, mainly because I got a lot done. The online teaching is slowing down a bit, which helps a great deal! I’m caught up with grading again and don’t have another assignment coming in until the 16th. Hooray! That leaves times for visiting blogs and reading a few reviews..
The week ahead promises to be busy with good/fun things! I’m also getting a good deal of reading done

  3. Just come from a lovely review for Anxious People by Shellyrae at Book’d Out. I will purchase it I think, or check the library reserve list. Hope that bag is exactly one that brings happy memories. Hope you are not too near those Californian fires, they seem rather capricious.

    1. Thanks for visiting, Kathryn, and the fires are worrying, albeit an hour or so away. We still get the smoky drift, however. What’s next, right?

I am hearing good things about Anxious People, so I will probably read it sooner rather than later. Enjoy your books and your week.

  4. Lovely to hear you have been reading and blogging more – I’m afraid I have been the opposite due my return to full time work. Also pleased you’ve been enjoying a comforting re-watch of an older show and doing a bit of shopping 😊 Take care and happy reading! 😃

  5. I’ve enjoyed the Fredrik Backman books that I’ve read so I’m excited to get to Anxious People! I sometimes feel like the only person in the world who isn’t in love with pumpkin everything. I’ll eat pumpkin pie if it’s my only option for dessert but I don’t get excited about it. My poor husband loves pumpkin and he’s stuck with me! We have a pie shop back home that serves “pie flights,” 3 slices of pie with a side of ice cream. We would split that so he could get his pumpkin fix that way. Enjoy your week! Stay safe!

  6. We order everything online now. We always have to keep a watch to see when things are delivered. Nothing arrives in a timely manner, sadly. Almost everything comes later than expected.

I love the purse. I have reminders of my bohemian days, too.

Girls of Summer looks good. It might be too late for summer stories for me. I just put my autumn wreath on the front door.

Look at that pumpkin pie. I need to make a pie. It’s been too long.

    Have a good week!

    1. I am so ready for pumpkin delights, Deb; and I am enjoying my new bag, too.

I seem to always have something coming to me by mail…and so far, nothing is too slow in coming, except for the occasional cleaning products.

Even my meds are coming promptly, thankfully!

Enjoy your week and your books.

I like the new colorful bag. And I hope you enjoy the new Sue Miller novel …. I hope to get to it too. It looks good. How is the air out your window? Is it gray smoke there too? I hope all the smokes & fires will go away! It’s so sad to see. Enjoy your week.

    1. Thanks, I love the bag, too. I have read everything I can get my hands on from Sue Miller, and have been a fan since the 1980s…I think.

Enjoy your week, Susan, and stay safe. It is impossible to spend time outdoors now, as the air is smoky and I have asthma. Sigh.

Love that bag you ordered! I received some Amazon gift cards for my birthday and was thinking of going on a shopping spree I want to change the theme in the bathroom. And maybe buy some new books too. 🙂

I hope you enjoy your new books! I really want to read Anxious People. Monogamy looks good as well. I hope you have a great week, Laurel-Rain!

What a neat bag? I am so scared of buying anything too unusual. I’m way too basic. 🙂

I’ve been wondering about Anxious People. I’m eager to read your thoughts on it.

Hope you have a great week. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Ooh I love that bag! Online shopping is so easy. I wonder what we would have done in lockdown 30 years ago. I’m keen to read Final Cut. It sounds like a great read.

  12. It sounds like another good week for you. The bag sure is cute.
You have some good books you picked up this week. Final Cut looks good to me.
I hope the fire smoke is not troubling you. All those fires are so distressing.
Nice dessert treat. Have a good week and Happy Reading!

    1. Yes, the fires are definitely troubling. Even though we’re an hour or so away from them, the air is very smoky, which is difficult for those of us with asthma and other respiratory issues.

I try to avoid going outside these days, which is challenging at this time of Pandemic, when we are encouraged to go outside to avoid close contact with people. Sigh.

Enjoy your week, Martha, and stay safe.

Fantastic mailbox, I have seen a lot of people post about Anxious People. I recently read A Man Called Ove by the same author and loved it, might add Anxious People to my TBR.
