Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
Here we are again at week’s end. How do those days sprint by so quickly? I did enjoy reading three books, and two of them were nonfiction; those will count for the Nonfiction Reading Challenge. Officially, I have met my goal, but I have several more from that category that I must read.
This week I watched bits and pieces of shows on Prime, Netflix, and Hulu...and then settled down for Season II of In the Dark. I’m only on Episode 2, though.
Now…let’s grab some coffee and take a closer peek at the week.

I’m curious what you’ll think of the Trump book. Looks like you’ve had a good week. I love veggies and broccoli soup, and adding wine just makes your meal a whole lot better. I’m not watching much TV these days. I work, bike and read.

Wow you already read the Mary Trump book! You made fast work of it. I watched her interviewed on the Rachel Maddow show and it was interesting though I’m sure the book is better. Does she think he can be beaten in Nov? I sure hope so …. have a great week.

She doesn’t speculate about whether or not he can be beaten, but she definitely believes that our democracy will not survive another term with him.
I hope her book will help sway some voters.
Enjoy your week, Susan; stay safe!

Oh, I definitely hope the voters are paying attention and if they don’t read the book, perhaps they’ll watch the interviews. She does those very well, too.
Thanks for stopping by, Sarah, and enjoy your week. The meal was good! Occasionally they give us something good, lol.

Fingers crossed! On both fronts – that voters look at how he’s mishandled the COVID-19 situation… AND that you get good food more often!!!

The author did a great job of revealing the dysfunction in the family that created this lying, bullying, and racist man. Thanks for stopping by, Heather.

Nice apple pie. I, too, have had some indulgence. Garlic bread at Little Ceasar’s and I came across This sign on a back of a truck that said, Get your ‘hole’ foods along with pictures of donut holes. funny

I do love the indulgence of apple pie now and then…although, as you probably noticed, it was a very tiny piece. A sliver, lol.
Love garlic bread!
Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

And yes, tiny pie sliver and big scoop, lol.

I heard today that a million copies of the Mary Trump book were sold the first week. That gives me so much hope for the future. I’m glad you enjoyed it so much.
I’d sure like some apple pie with ice cream. I think I need to make a pie next week.
I like the look of Pear-Shaped Life. I will look to find out more about it.
Have a good week and take care.

I wish I had won it, Kathryn; I won Me and Carlos, by Tom Perrotta. But I am looking forward to My Pear-Shaped Life, a hardcover book for my shelves. Yay!
I bought quite a few nonfiction books this year, so I still have many more to read. Enjoy!

I liked Stranger in the Lake; I listened on audio. I’ve got the Mary Trump book on reserve at the library. Good-looking meal including the pie. I’m made fresh tomato sauce with tomatoes and basil from the garden to have for dinner. Have a lovely week. Stay safe and be kind.

Thanks, Anne, I had a lovely dinner tonight; despite the social distancing, we talk loud enough to carry on a conversation. We learn new things every day, more than we ever could learn on a crowded table, I think.
I loved the Mary Trump books…it flew by.

You could hold on to a few of the nonfiction titles for Nonfiction November 🙂
I’ve just recently added My Pear Shaped Life to my TBR, there’s been quite a bit of buzz about No Safe Place too, so I may add it as well.
Wishing you a great reading week

I hope you enjoy your new books. I have such a strong dislike for Trump that I can’t imagine enjoying a book about him even if the book is really negative. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

I feel the same about him, but I wanted to learn things that might be important for those who, for whatever reason, might still believe in him. Although the believers seem to be stubbornly loyal!

I’ve seen My Pear-Shaped Life a lot of places lately. Sounds good.
I would read the Trump book, but I am so done with politics right now. I’m tired of all the bashing on both sides. I just want everyone to focus on getting rid of the pandemic and keeping us all safe. I can barely enjoy browsing Facebook anymore. Makes me want to go live off the grid.
Your food looks delicious. Love apple pie and ice cream.
Hope you have a nice week.

Your lunch looks nice and cozy. I love apple pie with ice cream! I wonder why Tom Perrotta’s book was published by Amazon. Maybe his last book of short stories didn’t sell as well as expected? I like his writing, so I should check out his new one.

I like Tom Perrotta’s writing, but this book only has 23 pages, so I am disappointed. I like a full-length book! But since I didn’t buy it, that will work for me.
I do enjoy cozy lunches. Thanks for visiting, Laurie, and have a great week.
