Good morning!  Let’s gather around with our caffeinated beverages to chat about our weeks, our books, and our perspectives.  Join our host at Bookishly Boisterous to see what others are sharing.

Good morning, bloggers!  Hair salons have shut down again, but even before that happened, we were still locked down here, so no such outings were allowed.  I changed my Avatar to reflect the absence of styling.  LOL.

I have ordered groceries again through Instacart.  It is amazing how quickly I go through everything, mostly because the fridge is tiny, so I have to keep that in mind.

  • Reading has been pretty good.  I read and reviewed Stranger in the Lake, by Kimberly Belle; and Nomadland, by Jessica Bruder.
  • Last night I started reading the Mary Trump book:  Too Much and Never Enough.
  • This morning was a day of eating in the apartment.  Yes, every other day is in the dining room still.  Here is what I ordered:  French toast, oatmeal, coffee, and I made myself a Cranberry Mimosa with ingredients in my fridge.

That is my day so far.  What has your week brought?  Are you hanging in there and staying safe?

  1. I slept late this morning (8:00 a.m.) and after an invigorating shower, I picked up groceries. By the time I returned home, it was almost 11, so instead of breakfast, we had casserole for an early lunch. Now I am catching up on email. It is good to see you, even if your hair looks different. LOL I expect beauty shops to close again any day now (We ARE the hotspot!) so I’m glad I had mine cut extremely short./Users/raelongest/Desktop/thumbnail_IMG_0922.jpg

  2. Thank goodness you can have groceries delivered. I need to get a hair appointment because my hair is still too long and is driving me nuts. Doesn’t take much these days, lol. Have a good day!

    1. I am so grateful for that phone app, Mary; the groceries arrive within two hours, and if I spend a certain amount, the delivery is free.

My hair is covering my eyes, so I push the “bangs” aside and spray them. LOL

  3. Diane

My daughter downloaded the Mary Trump book; I’ll be curious to hear your thoughts. I got a haircut Lat month (first since Feb) but, no more color for me. I’m actually liking my gray hair these days 5 months in LOL

    1. Oh, I am liking my gray, too, Diane…i call it “silver.” LOL. When I developed an allergy to hair dye a couple of years ago, my daughter stripped the color and what we see now is what appeared.

Of course it begs to be trimmed more often, but at least we don’t have “grown out” hair color!

So far, I’m enjoying the book, although the subject of the book is not a person I like!
