Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
Another great week! Not a lot of reading…only two books read and reviewed. And only five blog posts. But I had a lot of fun celebrating the friends that gather around our dining table. Conversation, a little wine, and a lot of laughter.
Today I also had a celebration of my own: a mani-pedi, lunch with some friends in the old neighborhood restaurant I enjoy visiting, and ending the day in the dining room again, around that big table.
Let’s grab some coffee and take a closer look at the week:

When You See Me looks good, and those Joanie Fluke books always have fun covers.

The Watergate Girl might be interesting to learn about that situation. I vaguely know of it but would be an insight I think to read it. Love the nails, mine are uncared for really, they are envious!

Thanks, Kathryn, reading The Watergate Girl seems like a timely experience. If only our current situation had turned out like that one!
I do like getting out and doing the nail pampering. Enjoy your week.

Do you have a name for your group, akin to the Algonquin? 🙂
I just had the brilliant idea that I could do a weekly or monthly get together at the covered picnic tables at our little park down the road!!!! Ohmygoodness how fun that would be! Unfortunately, I’m too much of an introvert and too freaked out by bugs to initiate it.

Thanks, Jinjer, we don’t have a name for the group, but now I will start thinking about one! Thanks for visiting and enjoy your week.
I like the sound of your picnic in the park!

Hi Laurel: so glad you nabbed The Watergate Girl … you reminded me to put it on hold at the library. I hope it will be good. I’ll be eager to hear if it’s any good. We need more Watergate Girls for the times now. How witnesses in the Senate weren’t called during impeachment trial was horrendous. Now dumb John Bolton wants to put out a book this month …. but the fool blew his chance to speak up when he Should have. Grrrrr. Good luck with your primary vote on Super Tuesday. I voted absentee in the state of Virginia for this Tues.!

Thanks, Susan, I think The Watergate Girl will be a reminder of how things should have played out during the recent Impeachment…but then again, Nixon was smarter than 45 because he resigned. A dignified reaction, which the current guy is incapable of doing.
I sent my ballot in already, too.

It was cold this week here so I’m admiring your soup as well as your dessert. It’s 2:20pm and I haven’t bothered about lunch so I’m hungry. I enjoyed the last one I read by Katherine Center and the cover is gorgeous on the one you got. I had the Lisa Gardner one from the library and didn’t get to it so I have it on reserve again. I’ve been debating about the Rea Frey book.
Have a wonderful week!

I can’t believe there is a new Katherine Center book coming out this spring. I haven’t even gotten around to reading her last book. She is from Houston and I have enjoyed very much reading all of her stories.
Your celebration with a mani-pedi along with lunch with friends sounds delightful.
Have a great week.
