Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
My week brought me forward in my “new normal,” with daily steps toward recovery. I only read and reviewed one book (again!), but I am halfway finished with the second one. I’ve been distracted, of course, and some of that has been about shows I binge-watched on Netflix. Unbelievable grabbed me immediately, and I’m still caught up in it.
Amazon packages continue to arrive, including some new books…more about them later.
Let’s lift a cup of Joe and talk more about my week.
LAST WEEK ON THE BLOGS:
Bookish Friday: “Tell Me Everything”
Saturday Potpourri: Moving Forward…
Review: Takes One To Know One, by Susan Isaacs
***
INCOMING BOOKS:
Two books came in my mailbox!
Kiss the Girls and Make Them Cry, by Mary Higgins Clark
A Life on the Edge, by Sheila Weller
***
Still Reading: The Family, by Louise Jensen
***
That was my week. I hope to read and blog more in the days ahead…but meanwhile, I’m loving the mix of TV shows and reading…and just enjoying how much stronger I feel each day. I had a tiny bit of this treat last night (cherry pie!):

It’s great you are feeling better every day, it is so good to mark progress and say well a few days ago I couldn’t do this and now I can. Onwards and upwards and may more Amazon packages be in your future. I bet they appreciate you!!

Thanks, Sarah, I am grateful for improvements and days that bring less pain. It could have been much worse, but since they could use the laparoscope, I escaped a more difficult recovery.
Enjoy your week and your books!

Thanks, Mary, I am also happy about the many diversions available through TV and books. I don’t have as many cable channels in this apartment, so I’m happy to watch shows online. I saw today that Season 3 just showed up on Netflix!
I think this week I’ll be able to concentrate more on reading. Enjoy your week.

I’m so glad for the progress! It’s all about balance, a little bit of everything. I’m not always good at that. Yay for cherry pie! I think I might make apple crisp tonight since I have a bunch of fall apples. Have a wonderful week and enjoy your new reads!

Unbelievable is well unbelievable, I read the book that the show was based on first and found it compelling and infuriating.
Wishing you a great reading week

Oh, Carrie Fisher. I was born about ten days after Carrie, and I was named (in part) for her mother, so I always felt a kinship with her. She seemed to have such a sad life.
I’m caught up with my Poldark and The Durrells, too. And now The Durrells are over.
Have a lovely week.
