Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
Another week slid by when I wasn’t looking. My head has been buried in my books…and I read and reviewed three. I was also alert to the knocking on my door with a staff person leaving still another Amazon package. Am I obsessed? Or do I just love the idea of my current shopping routine? A little of both. I received books, some ordinary items that I used to buy in the supermarket or drug store, and I’ve also ordered clothes. Yes, shirts or tops, usually.
My evenings have kept me glued to the TV, binge-watching the Mary Tyler Moore show on Amazon Prime, lost in the 70s. While I vividly recall the characters and many of the situations, the episodes feel almost new. As if I haven’t seen them before. That’s because I hadn’t watched them over and over like I’ve done with other shows. I loved Mary and Rhoda’s apartments in that quaint old house, though, and the TV station and newsroom.
So…let’s look closer at my week, while enjoying another cup of coffee:

That was my week. What did yours look like? Here is a glimpse of my New Normal, with healthy breakfast choices. I loved the egg white veggie casserole in the left corner.

I didn’t watch MTM but my Mom did so occasionally I saw an episode here or there and I always loved the sunken living room with the built in bookcases that were probably knee height or something?

I hope you enjoy Nanaville (liked it a lot). I also want to read Testament.
Enjoy your weekend.
BTW – I love online shopping as well. Just ordered shoes and boots LOL

Thanks, Diane, I’m glad that some of the old shows are still on channels like Hallmark, and that the rest can be found online somewhere.
Between the shows and shopping, online is a wonderful place to go.

I like how you said the week slipped by without you looking. Doesn’t that seem like a very American thing to write with all the hustle and bustle. Hope you are enjoying the fall.

Healthy can be delicious, too, I hope. The egg casserole looks yummy.
I’m reading The Testaments, too. I did have to go back and refresh my memory about Handmaid’s Tale, but I didn’t feel like I needed to reread the book.
I enjoyed Nanaville so much, and it sounds like you did, too. I feel so blessed to enjoy being a Nana. A great tribe to belong to.

I’m pretty sure my mom watched Mary Tyler Moore when I was a little kid! I don’t remember it well, just her throwing her hat up in the air I think?
I eat oatmeal every morning for breakfast. I am such a creature of habit. Lol. Nanaville looks like a good read!

I used to have Amazon packages arriving every other day back before kindle became my first love. Now it’s limited to a couple a month and they’re rarely books. It’s the one downside to ebooks that you don’t get the happy thrill of opening the packages.

I enjoyed Mary Tyler Moore as a child and moved to Mpls. I know where that house is. I LOVED The Last Widow, the whole Will Trent series.
I love that round table. I am in the midst of getting all my furniture in better shape whether it is repairing and waxing or reupholstering. Also getting rid of what doesn’t work for us, passing them along to others who hopefully can use them. Have a lovely week and Happy reading!

Hi Laurel, what’s the word on Atwood’s Testaments? Is it good? Slow or fast or dark? I need to get to it soon. I’m finally finishing The Goldfinch which I started a few weeks ago — just in time for the movie. Enjoy your week.

Goldfinch is too long for me. LOL. I don’t have the patience for lengthy books these days.
