Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
Another week has slipped by, and while I only read and reviewed two books, I am halfway finished with a third. I also wrote five blog posts. On Tuesday, I had my “purple” refreshed, so I’m feeling energized.
As I spend more time on the computer, my “click to buy” action has increased, but I justify the purchases by saying that, if not ordering on Amazon, I would have to pay for a Lyft ride to a store. LOL. It’s more fun to see the packages arrive.
I just had several cups of coffee in the dining room. Join me with another cup, and let’s take a closer look at my week.
LAST WEEK ON THE BLOGS:
August Bites the Dust! Hello, September…
Tuesday Excerpts: “Seven Letters”
Hump Day Potpourri: Books, Tidbits, Etc.
Coffee Chat: Waiting for Fall…
Bookish Friday: “Secrets of the Tulip Sisters”
Review: My Ex-Best Friend’s Wedding, by Wendy WaxReview: California Girls, by Susan Mallery

INCOMING BOOKS:
Empty mailbox! I did download one e-book.
The Grammerians, by Cathleen Schine

CURRENTLY READING:
The Last Widow, by Karin Slaughter

That was my week. What did yours look like? I had no special treats this week, so I pulled this one out of my files….great memories of apple pie!

Looks like you had a great blogging week! I’m still in a reading slump but did finish a few short books and an audiobook.

Someone has to keep Amazon afloat! You read two great books this week and the one you are reading now is right up your alley. All the best for this week.

Ha-ha, yes indeed! I think I might be going crazy, just a little bit…but then I remind myself that ordering on Amazon keeps me out of the stores, where I might buy even more.
I am enjoying my reading. Have a great week!

I do miss yummy apple pie, Maureen…and Marie Callender’s, my favorite go-to pie place, has closed down. Sigh.
Thanks for visiting, and enjoy your week…and I agree about Amazon.

Love the purple! I agree about receiving packages – so exciting 🙂 I was thinking about the review books I get lately and realized most are downloads, very few are paper ARCs anymore. I kind of miss those but I’m good with e-galleys too.
I managed to read three books last week which is more than usual this summer.
Have a great week ahead!

Thanks, Mary, and I do like getting actual packages. Since most of my books were left behind, I feel the urge for more physical tomes. LOL. I do miss Amazon Vine, just a little bit…so I might have to check out that site soon.
Enjoy your week.

Oh, I’m wondering how The Last Widow is turning out! I’m so nervous to pick it up. Are you enjoying it, Laurel?

Thanks, Rachel, The Last Widow, which I just finished and reviewed, kept me glued to the pages, hating many of the characters and rooting for others. Enjoy!

Mmmm Apple pie! I was going to bake an apple crumble or an apple pie this weekend then the supermarket didn’t have any cooking apples so I got grumpy and settled for rhubarb instead, lol. Once I finish some blog visits, I’ll be getting my crumble baking on!
I really like the purple. I’ve been thinking of livening up my hair with some interesting colour (I like blue) but I’ve not been brave enough.

Thanks, Nicci, I started with the purple when I developed an allergy to the hair dyes I was using…at the same time, my stylist stripped the color and found the silver underneath, which I’m now enjoying.
I love apple pie! Enjoy your week.

I am so addicted to Amazon. I really wish I wasn’t. I hate going in to actual stores though, it is so much easier to shop online. I do try to buy more of my food small and local, but everything else is brought to me by Amazon. We had pumpkin cupcakes (Wyatt’s choice) to celebrate the first week of school being over!

Thanks, Erin, I don’t have regular transportation these days, so Amazon is a life saver.
But I also hate going into stores if I don’t have to…lol
