WEEKLY UPDATES: GOOD BOOKS…

Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.

**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

Another week has slipped by, and while I only read and reviewed two books, I am halfway finished with a third.  I also wrote five blog posts.  On Tuesday, I had my “purple” refreshed, so I’m feeling energized.

As I spend more time on the computer, my “click to buy” action has increased, but I justify the purchases by saying that, if not ordering on Amazon, I would have to pay for a Lyft ride to a store.  LOL.  It’s more fun to see the packages arrive.

I just had several cups of coffee in the dining room.  Join me with another cup, and let’s take a closer look at my week.

    1. Ha-ha, yes indeed! I think I might be going crazy, just a little bit…but then I remind myself that ordering on Amazon keeps me out of the stores, where I might buy even more.

I am enjoying my reading. Have a great week!

  1. Love the purple! I agree about receiving packages – so exciting 🙂 I was thinking about the review books I get lately and realized most are downloads, very few are paper ARCs anymore. I kind of miss those but I’m good with e-galleys too.
I managed to read three books last week which is more than usual this summer.
    Have a great week ahead!

    1. Thanks, Mary, and I do like getting actual packages. Since most of my books were left behind, I feel the urge for more physical tomes. LOL. I do miss Amazon Vine, just a little bit…so I might have to check out that site soon.

      Enjoy your week.

Purple looks good, and yay for getting book packages.

Oh, I’m wondering how The Last Widow is turning out! I’m so nervous to pick it up. Are you enjoying it, Laurel?

  3. Mmmm Apple pie! I was going to bake an apple crumble or an apple pie this weekend then the supermarket didn’t have any cooking apples so I got grumpy and settled for rhubarb instead, lol. Once I finish some blog visits, I’ll be getting my crumble baking on!

I really like the purple. I’ve been thinking of livening up my hair with some interesting colour (I like blue) but I’ve not been brave enough.

    1. Thanks, Nicci, I started with the purple when I developed an allergy to the hair dyes I was using…at the same time, my stylist stripped the color and found the silver underneath, which I’m now enjoying.

I love apple pie! Enjoy your week.

  4. Wow. Five stars for Ex-Best Friend’s Wedding. Looks like a book I should look for.

Love the purple. It is perfect with your skin.

It won’t be long and you will get to enjoy treats again, I hope. For now, I’m happy to share a cup of coffee with you and talk about your week.

  5. Your hair looks great!!!

I am so addicted to Amazon. I really wish I wasn’t. I hate going in to actual stores though, it is so much easier to shop online. I do try to buy more of my food small and local, but everything else is brought to me by Amazon. We had pumpkin cupcakes (Wyatt’s choice) to celebrate the first week of school being over!

I love the purple hair. It looks great, Laurel-Rain. That one click option can be so dangerous! Haha. I use it way too often. The Grammarians sounds like a fun and interesting read. I hope you are enjoying Slaughter’s book. It does sound good. I hope you have a great week!

    1. Thanks, Yvonne, I had a really great week with packages, and even though some of the stuff is ordinary or even boring, there are a few things I got excited about. LOL.

Enjoy your week, and I loved The Last Widow.

    1. Thanks, Nise, I was on my way to being addicted to Amazon when I moved here. The transportation issues made me turn to online shopping for a lot of things.

Enjoy your week and your books, and thanks for stopping by.

  7. Haha, I love justifying my purchases too, and I agree that receiving the packages is a lot of fun!

I’ve loved the Karin Slaughter books I’ve read, but I have yet to read her series. This one sounds good! Have a great week and happy reading 🙂
