And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

What a great week!  It started out with tedious medical tests that turned out well…and then it all improved significantly.  I read and reviewed three books and wrote four blog posts.  On Thursday night, I had a fabulous time at the “Elvis show” here…

On Friday, I spent the day with my granddaughter Fiona, running errands and having a delightful lunch at one of my favorite places.

Now let’s take a closer look at my week.

CURRENTLY READING:  Since I have finished my NetGalley ARCs for September, I grabbed a relatively new book off my stack:

My Ex-Best Friend’s Wedding, by Wendy Wax

That was my week.  What did yours look like?  Since fall is coming soon, I am dreaming about treats I’ve enjoyed in the past…like pumpkin pie!

  1. I’m so glad it was a good week for you – it’s always a big bonus when medical results are good. And quality time with grandchildren is an even bigger bonus – what a lovely pic:)). I hope the coming week is equally good, Laurel.

  3. Hmmm…My Ex-Best Friend’s Wedding…that sounds fascinating. I don’t know why, but I think of Wendy Wax as a children’s author. I will have to look her up. Apparently I am wrong!

Your lunch with your granddaughter looks wonderful. And I see why you dream of that pie, that ice cream. Yum!

    Have a wonderful week.

  4. You sure had a great week! I could tell by the tone of your blog post, and of course, seeing a granddaughter is always a highlight. 🙂 You reminded me that September is a good time to see how my 2019 reading is coming along. Hope you have another great week!

    • Thanks, Laura, I am glad you could sense the improvement in my tone. I am feeling better and looking forward to my reading and blogging…and family time.

My granddaughter always makes me feel better. Enjoy your week.

  5. Hi Laurel, I’m glad you had such a great week. Your reading is back on a roll. I still have ARCs to read from August so you’re ahead of the game. So many good books this fall — it should be excellent. Enjoy

    • Thanks, Susan, I had so many books released in August, so I felt a bit overwhelmed. September and October were better.

I have decided to actually allow some review books to pass me by. Anything to avoid the stress. LOL.

      Enjoy your week.

  6. Fun on the Elvis show and visit with Fiona. You two always seem to have a great time together. 🙂

You read and reviewed some GOOD books…I too loved 29 Seconds and The Perfect Son.

ENJOY this week, and I’m glad your tests were all good.
