Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
I think my reading is finally on track! I read and reviewed three books this week. I feel almost back to normal…or as much as I can be in a completely new space with new routines. I am walking well, with the assistance of my cane…and actually dispense with it almost entirely within my apartment.
My favorite activities include movies and shows on Prime (Big Little Lies), Hulu (The Handmaid’s Tale), and Netflix (Dead to Me), which I really liked. Sadly, I now I have to wait for Season II with the eagerness I always feel in these situations.
Let’s grab some coffee and look at the details of my week.

WHAT’S NEXT?
I’m still tackling my TBR, waiting until mid-July to resume reading my August ARCs.
Starting with: Before She Was Found, by Heather Gudenkauf

That was my week. What did yours look like? This week, I enjoyed a favorite dessert.

I’m really liking Big Little Lies so far with S2. And yay for three books! Glad you’re starting to feel comfortable in your new place. It’s always hard getting used to new surroundings.
Hope you’re having a good weekend! 🙂

Thanks, Greg, I do like the feeling of being settled in…especially since the whole moving process was stressful.
I can’t wait for another episode of Big Little Lies.
Enjoy your week.

Thanks, Kathryn, I am very happy to be improving, as well, especially since I was anxious about the move and whether or not I would be able to enjoy my new surroundings.
Have a great week!

My reading week was sort of meh last week. It took me five days to get through “The Summer Guests” by Mary Alice Monroe. I found this one to be sort of average, and didn’t enjoy it as much as I usually like her books. Then I read The Perfect Alibi by Phillip Margolin this was a fast pretty easy read. I didn’t read the first book in the series yet but I enjoyed this one well enough that I would read more from him. Finally, I started The Summer of 69 yesterday so far so good its very interesting to read about this time period I was just 5 years old that summer so I don’t really remember it.
I’m glad you are settling in to your new place and back to reading and blogging.
Happy Blogoversary to you a day late.

Thanks, Susan, I completely forgot about the blogoversary! Since I have six blogs, they tend to blur together.
1969 and the subsequent decade were defining moments for me, so I’m eagerly looking forward to Summer of ’69.
Enjoy your week!

I read and enjoyed the new Gudenkauf, though I enjoy all her books, practically a given.
I do want to read Summer of ’69 in this month or next, and love that cover!
Glad you are getting around much better. I hope you’re not in too much pain doing it. Slow and steady wins the race 🙂

Go you for sorting out your new surroundings so effectively. It’s the third most stressful Life Event behind bereavement and divorce – moving… I hope the coming week is more relaxing, Laurel.

Three reviews in a week is great. It is good to see you are getting through your TBR. I get depressed thinking how far behind I am so I’m trying to take it one step at a time and just read what I can in my limited time.
