Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
Another week has flown by, with only two books read and reviewed. But…my interior world is growing cozier, with the help of family, like my granddaughter Fiona who came by on Tuesday to unpack boxes and shred things…and then hung favorites on the wall, like this banner in my entry way.
On Thursday, we ran errands (which means I sat in the car while she drove)…and one of these errands was for a mani-pedi…and lunch at CPK.
My routines are becoming more relaxed…and I am enjoying shows on Netflix (Dead to Me) and on Prime: Big Little Lies Season II.
Let’s grab some coffee…and take a closer look at my reading/blogging week.
MY BLOGGING WEEK:
Coffee Chat: Finding My Groove…
Bookish Friday: “After the End”
Little Beach Bungalow, by Joanne DeMaio –After the End, by Clare Mackintosh – (NG-6/25)

CURRENTLY READING:
Little Darlings, by Melanie Golding
I have no ARCs to read and review before July…so I will happily relax for a bit and read from my TBR. Then I have SIX ARCs coming in August!

That was my week. Moving along slowly and rediscovering my feet…literally. I have graduated to a cane. Who knows what could happen next. Exercise classes?

What was your week like? Enjoy your reading, blogging, and adventures.

I am glad you are finding your feet – in many ways. 🙂 And what a fun day with your granddaughter!

Sounds like you’re getting back to yourself more and more everyday. Glad you have family nearby to help you! I worked everyday with a few doubles and next week is the same. I’m so behind on reading and reviews.

Thanks, Vicki, I could use a few more of my favorite books…and my daughter brought over a bookshelf I had in my bedroom. I may need to revisit the old apartment one more time to grab some books.
Enjoy your week.

Rain, I am so sorry to hear about your injury (I was lurking around before coming back now to blogging). But your a strong person and will overcome these new challenges as you go along. And hurray for Fiona and the rest of your family and friends for helping you get settled. The small reminders from your previous place will make this more like home for you.
On the bookish side, I am wanting to read that DeMaio book (but want to try to get to her earlier ones in the series first), and also After the End. Enjoy settling into your new routine and all the books that you read this week!

I hope you love the DeMaio books.

Mani-padi’s lucky you! I’ll probably be graduating to a cane in the next fifteen years. Along with my achondroplasia is terrible pain. Sorry for the pity party, but it’s been interesting talking to doctors these last weeks and hearing the newest innovations for those with leg conditions.

I’m so glad to see that your life has gotten back to some semblance of normalcy. I hope that you continue to improve physically and that you are able to get around well. I tripped on the curb at the grocery store today and hit my cheek on the sidewalk. Ouch. That makes the fifth time I’ve fallen in the last two years. I am hereby vowing to be more careful.
It will be nice that you can take a break during July and then get back at reviewing and blogging hard in August.
Have a great week!

Watched a funny show on Netflix last night with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, set in Monaco and Italy. Murder Mystery, but there was a lot of comedy.

Ooh, I can’t remember the last time I had a mani-pedi ❤ I must try to book one this summer. I did enjoy the last season of Big Little Lies but haven't started watching season 2; I felt they just wanted to cash in on a success, I wasn't sure where they'd take the characters and my warm fuzzy feeling for it would be corrupted.
I hope you have a great week and enjoy your reads, Laurel-Rain. x.

I’ve never had a mani-pedi, I only put on nail polish about once a year, but it sounds like a you had a great day with Fiona.
Does your new residence have a community library? My grandparents place did and they donated a lot of their books to it. That way they still had them near, and got to share them. If not, maybe it’s something you can consider creating.
So glad you are finding your feet
Have a great reading week

Laurel,
I know you had several blogs and this one wasn’t on my blogroll (until now) so I’ve been wondering what was going on with you as you seemed MIA. I am so sorry you’ve had a rough time and have had a bit of an upheaval in your life. Hopefully your mending progresses and the surgery goes well. (I had my GB removed at 50). Enjoy your new place and happy you are finding your rhythm once again.

Thanks, Diane, I thought I was rolling along in my routines, with no worries…and then I woke up on the floor, unable to get up. I was in the hospital for a few days, and then stayed at my daughter’s until they found this senior living residence, with levels of care. I’m pretty independent; I’m going through physical therapy, though, to improve navigation. My kids all freaked out, and yes, that day could have ended badly. I wasn’t ready to change my way of life, but I’m trying to adapt. There are some positives, like cooking, cleaning, and laundry are all provided, and my little apartment is shaping up into a home.
I hope the surgery goes well, and that I can resume many of my former activities.
