Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
I finally finished my third book of the week. My pattern remained similar to previous weeks. The first book flew by, the second one competed with other activities, and I was still reading the third one this morning (Saturday). But I enjoyed each book. I’m feeling a little under the weather, with a sore throat…unusual for me, since I take allergy pills and other medication for these issues. I always suspect something in the air, and I did go out and about more this week.
I enjoyed my usual TV shows, although I still have a few to watch on the DVR. I started a new Netflix series: Northern Rescue, with William Baldwin and Kathleen Robertson. I also watched some old favorite movies, including one of my old DVDs, St. Elmo’s Fire, a Brat Pack film from the 80s that takes me back to my younger days.
It was a pretty good blogging week, too, and I had fun making new headers for some of my sites.
Let’s grab some more coffee…or even some tea for my sore throat…and take a closer look at my week.

I’m hoping the sore throat gets better soon!

I just finished Someone Always Knows the other day. I ended up liking it better than I thought I would after I had read all the mixed reviews on Goodreads. I guess the bottom line is people have to read and see for themselves if they will like it or not.

Oh I’m listening to Better Sister right now. I also got The Long Call. I had an allergy flair up also after raking a bunch of tree droppings. I take pills and use a nasal spray. Luckily it only lasted one day.
I hope you have a great week where you feel better and only read amazing books!

Thanks, Kathryn, I am glad you enjoyed the header at Rainy Days and Mondays. It took a while experimenting with themes and headers.
I woke up this morning feeling better…yesterday’s tea and Airborne worked…there is a little bit of dryness still…so more of the same today.
Enjoy your reading and your week.

Thanks for visiting, Elizabeth, and I’m not used to having sore throats these days (post-retirement), since I am not around sick people and kids with runny noses any more. LOL.
My youngest grandson was sick last week, though, and we spent time together on Sunday. But…I think my allergies are to blame, as I feel better this morning. Knock wood.
Enjoy your week!

That happened to me too when I was teaching…someone was always sick.

I hope you soon feel a lot better, Laurel – there’s also a lot going around here, too. I’m intrigued to see that you have got an Anne Cleves – with the start of new series. I hope you enjoy it. And thank you for posting the pie – I’m going to virtually consume it and tell myself I’m full as the Easter break has left me needing to shed some pounds! Have a good week.

I’m trying to imagine a world where everyone in the world consistently read three books a week….It would be a much better world, wouldn’t it? It certainly makes me a happier person when I read well.
I hope you are feeling better soon. I hate feeling sick. Maybe it’s just an allergy.

Thanks, Deb, and since i’m feeling better this morning, after lots of tea and Airborne yesterday, I am convinced it was an allergy. Or I headed off a virus. I’ll take it!
I also think the world needs more readers. Wouldn’t that be great?
Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting.

I am sorry you are not feeling well! I have honey in my tea every day and I think it helps with my allergies. 🙂 And chocolate is supposed to help too, I think….either way chocolate is good right? Lol.
I love St. Elmo’s Fire!! And Rob Lowe! Lol. Have a great day!

Thanks, Erin, I need to buy some honey when I shop later today. It is so soothing. I vote for chocolate as an antidote to almost anything…LOL.
Rob Lowe is one of my favorites from back in the day, and while he was fun as a young actor, and I loved him in St. Elmo’s Fire, he only got better with age. I especially enjoyed him in the series Brothers and Sisters.
Thanks for visiting, and have a great week.
