Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
A lovely week of sunshine, offering a great mix of outings and time to curl up indoors. With a Kindle, you can head off anywhere to read. I managed to read and review three books this week, and they were all completely engaging. I viewed my usual favorite shows, including The Act on Hulu and The Good Fight on CBS-All Access. On Thursday, I hung out with my daughter at the salon for my “styling,” followed by lunch with my youngest son, visiting this week from the Far North.
I struggled with blog commenting, a recent development that seemed to come out of nowhere. I finally turned to the Google Chrome browser for most of my blog hopping. It works…and I’m learning how to navigate there.
This week brought FOUR review books. So, more about that, and my reading…after you grab some coffee with me and take a closer look.
LAST WEEK ON THE BLOGS:
Tuesday Excerpts: “Sunset Beach”
Tuesday Potpourri: A Surreal Week So Far…
Coffee Chat: Books, Sentimental Objects, and Family…
Thursday Potpourri: Discoveries & Remembrances…
Friday Potpourri: NetGalley ARC Bonanza…
Bookish Friday: “My Lovely Wife”
Review: The Perfect Girlfriend, by Karen HamiltonReview: Never Tell, by Lisa GardnerReview: Stillhouse Lake, by Rachel Caine

That was my week. What did yours look like? Last night, I felt like having an Easter turkey dinner…in advance. I brought half the plate home for today’s lunch:
***
Easter turkey dinner looked really yummy…so did your dessert. Your books all look good, too. The bright yellow book is very new to me! I loved the Heather Gudenkauf book…loved it.

We had a week of beautiful sunshine, too, and I was able to spend it in Austin at the library conference. I picked up lots of new review books there, and made some nice contacts.
I love the look of the books you received this week. You always seem to run across wonderful fiction reads.
That is quite clever of you, to save half for Easter!
Have a great week!

Wow Clare Macintosh is sure writing books quickly these days. It seems like just the other day her book I Let You Go and I See You were out. I liked her first one. I like Alafair Burke too. I read her book The Ex. I hope you enjoy both. Have a great Easter & week!

Oh yes, it was such a bright and beautiful sunshiny week over here too! It was a little hot here Thursday and Friday with highs in the 90’s. I got my hair done this week too! It’s always so nice to get pampered! Enjoy all of your wonderful book goodies! Happy Easter!

Good the Chrome browser is working for you, that’s the one I use all the time but I do believe Firefox is good. The early turkey dinner looks entirely yummy. You must have some very good restaurants nearby. Enjoy all those books, they are better than Easter eggs!

Thanks, Kathryn, I have always stuck to Firefox, but then when the commenting issue came up, it forced me to try new things. My eldest son goes back and forth between browsers…and I guess that’s what I’ll be doing. For blog hopping, it’s Chrome.
I do live within a couple of miles of two big shopping centers with lots of restaurants, shops, movie theaters, etc. I don’t have to drive far to do whatever I want…mostly.
I agree about the books…I can’t think of anything better…except good food with the books. Enjoy your week.

Wasn’t great here with the sunshine this week, but did end well yesterday with sunshine when rain was predicted. So I was able to get out and spend more time outside than I had planned. I use Chrome too for my blog hopping…and a combination of Feedly and Pocket. And Notepad (open on the side and another program called TurboTop to keep Notepad on top of the other programs). Today, I’m chilling to music this morning (a Classical Easter Celebration on Google Play Music or was) and plan on reading more of All Things Wise and Wonderful by James Herriot as part of an impromtu readathon this weekend.

I have had trouble with commenting on Safari on my Mac, my iPhone, and my iPad so I am using Firefox. I “think” it has something to do with Google Plus. When they removed Google Plus, this all happened.
I am glad I can use another browser. Glad you have another browser to use too.
NICE week for you – I am not sure I want to read the new Clare Mackintosh book. It sounds really different, but I’ll wait to see what your thoughts are.
