Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
What a great week of books, movies, and some good and bad outings. Coffee with a friend on Monday; an outing with my daughter on Tuesday to look at apartments I don’t want to move into…yet; a dental appointment on Wednesday; and hair styling on Friday. Followed by an appointment with ATT to install a new modem. Yay!
I read and reviewed three books, all of them excellent from favorite authors. I finished viewing Catastrophe on Amazon Prime; saw On the Basis of Sex, also on Prime; and watched more episodes of The Act on Hulu. Thursday brought more of The Good Fight, on CBS-All Access. Despite my spotty Internet throughout the week, I was able to spend good viewing time.
Now I hope to spend more time testing my new modem by viewing streaming shows (so far, so good), and perhaps I’ll start reading another book.
This morning I had bloodwork done at Kaiser…and then “post-fasting” breakfast at Marie Callender’s. Let’s have some more coffee and look into more details of the week.

I didn’t realise you were moving. Happy home hunting, hope you find something you love.

The Night Visitors is kind of appealing to me, after seeing your review.
And I always love breaking those fasts haha! 🙂

Glad you had a nice ‘post fasting breakfast’. I had two great breakfast these last two weeks. One at Denny’s, which was trece de leche pancakes and the other at Perkins, which was strawberry covered french toast, YUM! I also saw your Peter Swanson review this week. His last novel wasn’t one of my favorites but I love, love me some Swanson’s books-not a one is similar.

Thanks, Trin, this Swanson book was my second, and it has been my favorite so far. Can’t wait to see what I’ll enjoy next.
Have a great week…and yum, pancakes! I wavered between pancakes and French Toast.

You have had a very busy week! I like to be busy, so I typically plan something each day, even if it is just a visit to the Y. I will never move, though, until they carry my dead body out of my house. Well, unless someone gives me a house in Paris. I might move then.
I read lots yesterday for the readathon, more than usual, and I didn’t get as much sleep as I usually do. Still I had a blast.

I like your attitude about moving, Deb. My daughter has a “bee in her bonnet,” thinking I need one of those senior places, although I’ve done nothing to alert the medical professionals…so far. LOL. She just thinks senior living would be better, just because. She doesn’t like being alone, so she’s going on what would work for her.
But I love my familiar surroundings, and I’ve been living alone for 40 years…and I love it! We introverts are in the zone when we have alone time to read and blog.
Enjoy your week!

Thanks, Gayathri, and I think I’m not going to look for a new place right now. Moving is not my favorite thing, and I love my familiar surroundings. (The moving was my daughter’s idea…for me, not her.. LOL).

That breakfast looks good. Glad you got a new modem — sounds like it’ll be able to stream more. Right now we’ve been watching all of the Bosch seasons on Prime; it seems quite an addicting detective show. We also saw the movie The Favourite last night but not sure about the ending, which was odd. I’d like to see On the Basis of Sex movie. Did you like it?

Thanks, Susan, with my previous modem, the Internet was going down frequently…not fun! So I’m hoping for good service for a while, at least. LOL.
I watched a few episodes of Bosch when my son and DIL were visiting…but it didn’t seem the same without them.
I loved On the Basis of Sex…I saw it at the theater….and then on Prime.

Hi Lorraine,
You definitely had a week of ups and downs, so depending on whether you like things to be quite so hectic, maybe a nice steady, more relaxed week is on the cards?
Your breakfast definitely looks good enough to eat and doesn’t everyone deserve a little treat after parting with those precious bloods! I hate the sight of blood, so I always have to be led down to give a blood sample, or I’m liable to passing out!
You can’t beat a good Lisa Gardner story and in Carol Goodman, I think I have just discovered a whole new shelf of books waiting to be read. I can’t wait to see what you think of your finished reading schedule and thanks for sharing 🙂
