Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.

**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

What a week!  Lots of activity, but not much reading.  I did read two books, finally, and wrote eight blog posts.  I did a lot of work making over my blogs…even though it’s not Bloggiesta.  I got a mani with sparkly nails and a hairstyle with refreshed purple, in preparation for posting my First Book of the Year, since photographing us with our books is part of that event.  I won’t be showing that photo here today, since the December 31 moments are the unveiling.  But I’ve sent my photo to Sheila.

This week I borrowed two audiobooks from the library…but I’ve only listened one time!  I suspect it will take a while for me to get in the groove of it.

Here are my sparkly nails…

I’m ready for another cup of coffee, so join me while we chat about the week:

That was my week!  What did yours look like?  With Christmas right around the corner, here’s to a happy holiday season!  Last night, I craved French Pot Roast from Mimi’s…and here it is!  I brought half of it home for today’s lunch.  The margarita was good, too.

  1. Sounds like a busy week! And yay for the blog work! I find that sometimes that’s really relaxing, tinkering with the blog and trying some new things- even if I don’t change things that much lol.

The Adults looks like an interesting read!

Mmm pot roast. Have a merry Christmas!!!

  2. Love the sparkly nails, you are very organised for the first book photo. I need to do my photo still, need to get on to it but will have no sparkly nails or lovely hair. Oh well! I think I have chosen a good book though. Have a very happy Christmas.

    • Thanks for visiting, Kathryn, and I had to get organized enough so that my hair and nails would be done for Christmas, so there you are. Killing two birds with one stone by doing the photo with freshly done hair and nails. LOL. Yes, the book is the most important part.

Let’s enjoy the holidays and visiting all the good books that will show up on December 31.

  3. I knew I could count on you – I love pot roast AND margaritas. Yay for the 8 blog posts. I hope you get the hang of library listening – I do it constantly. Audiobooks are great for when I can’t look at a book.

Have an amazing week and Happy Holidays! Anne – Books of My Heart

    • Thanks, Anne, so far I have only listened once! I think I might do more of it with earbuds (?). Are those the listening devices I should have? I’ve downloaded to my iPhone.

Enjoy your holidays…and I hope you get some pot roast and a margarita soon! LOL.

    • Thanks for stopping by, Mary, and I love the First Book event…and getting a photo. It will be fun to see everyone in the collage with their books.

I have also enjoyed other books by Catherine Ryan Hyde. In fact, I have another one, Heaven Adjacent, tucked away on Paige, my Kindle. Those books do hide from me sometimes, but luckily I also write them in a notebook and add them to pages on my blog.

This next year, I want to get more organized about reading the books that are “tucked away.”

      Happy holidays!

  4. I am taking part in the Tidyathon, mainly to tidy up my blog and giving it a makeover. I am glad I am not doing it alone. Merry Christmas and Happy holidays.

  5. I love a good pot roast. One of my favorite comfort meals. I hope you had a wonderful holiday! I didn’t get to read too much myself as I was just that busy and then I refused to go online Monday and Tuesday so I read We Sold Our Souls and I haven’t gotten a chance to read that much since.
