Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
Another week flew by, and I had some enjoyable reading, binge-watching, and shopping days. I finished FOUR books this week, the best numbers I have had in a while. I watched Season II of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which I loved. Today I plan to immerse myself in some new shows on Netflix. I am also reading my “up next” books.
And, by the way, I did my version of Christmas decorating, which means I brought out a few items. Here is a glimpse of what I did…and let’s grab some more coffee to fuel my peek at last week on the blogs.

That was my week. What did yours look like? I did some errands and shopping today, and then treated myself to this coconut cream pie. Yum!

Mmm, coconut cream pie. Congrats on finishing 4 books! I finished 3, which is more than usual. Have a great week!

Thanks, AJ, I surprised myself with the four books. I probably won’t read that many this week, though; I just spent all day binge-watching Netflix. LOL.
I loved the coconut cream pie, which is not my usual pick.

Ooh 4 books- nice! I haven’t turned on Netflix all week! Which is unusual for me haha! There are some shows coming up thought that I want to try. Hope you’re having a good weekend of binging your new shows. 🙂
Tell Me Lies- I like the look of that one!

Thanks, Greg, the best thing about reading the four books was how much I enjoyed each of them. The pages flew by. Now if I could approximate the pattern and the pace this week, I’d be good.
I spent most of the day binge-watching on Netflix, and have more to immerse myself in tomorrow. Have a great week.

Great for four books. I saw The Fabulous Bouvier Sisters in the bookshop today, I must look it up in the library. Now I am going back to study your 2019 Pages because I am about to set mine up – I need to see what I can learn from you!!

Thanks, Kathryn, I started out creating the bookshelf pages on my Curl up and Read blog in 2010, and at one point, I actually deleted a few years, since I also had the reviews on Goodreads. Now I think I should have just combined some of the years. But it looked like a really tedious process, so I didn’t.
Good luck!
I am eager to read the Bouvier Sisters book..I have always been a Jackie fan.
Have a great week.

That cover of that book about Jackie Kennedy and her sister looks so good. I need to get my sister and I to dress up and get a shot of us like that, for posterity. I can only imagine the lives they led.

Thanks for the return visit, Rachel, and to be fair…I started the HRH book a while back and finally finished it this week. LOL. But I decided to count it. Her book is one to savor and contemplate, so I couldn’t rush through it.
Luckily, all of the books I picked up were engaging and fast-paced, which works out for me.

Thanks, Irena, I did totally engage in a show I always swear I’ll never watch again, because most of the characters say and do irritating things: The Ranch. But the character I hated the most is now gone, due to his bad behavior. LOL.
Enjoy your week!

I’ve been curious about Verity by Colleen Hoover! I’ve only tried reading one of her books, Without Merit, but that one didn’t work for me. I don’t know if it was the story, or the family dynamics, but it wasn’t a good fit. I hope you enjoy your reads this week!

You had an amazing reading week. Lots of high ratings. I love seeing that! I am curious about Mrs. Maisel. I have heard a lot of good things, though all I think about is my high school home ec teacher, because that was her name.

Thanks, Sam, the actor who plays Mrs. Maisel is amazing…and I love the character. It is set in the late 1950s, so she is blazing a trail with her stand-up routines.

Hi — do you think that I would like the Mrs. Maisel show? Hmm. I just put a long comment on your HRC review. I probably went on too long. It’s hard to keep quiet! I just saw the movie The Wife yesterday with Glenn Close, did you see it? It’s a small but powerful thing. Enjoy your week.

Thanks for visiting, Susan, and I loved The Wife. I can’t wait until it comes to Amazon Prime so I can buy it.
I do think you would enjoy Mrs. Maisel, as the story is all about a woman struggling for empowerment through her stand-up comedy performance.
Now I’m off to read your comments on the HRC review. I just finished watching a Showtime documentary on Presidents and the FBI…today’s was about Trump. I can’t wait to see what will happen next!

That was a great reading week and I love your Christmas decorations! So tasteful:)). My taste flies out of the window at Christmas – lots of frantically flashing colours lights and hectic clashing baubles of varying ages. The kids aren’t as excited about the lights as I am, sadly… I still load up the battery-operated toys that belt out all those cheesy Christmas songs, which they still enjoy.

Christmas is getting here fast, isn’t it? I decorated while Carl was out of town and couldn’t get to a couple of boxes and have just decided to do without them this year.
A friend of mine loves Mrs. Maisel. You need to watch Dumplin’ on Netflix.
Happy reading!

Thanks for stopping by, Kathy; I bring out less and less each year, since I don’t have help. Not since the grandkids grew too big and too busy. LOL. I have two bins that I pull from, and the others, like yours, are hard to get to without pulling back muscles.
I seem to be going for “just a touch of color.”
I hope you get to see Mrs. Maisel, and I watched Dumplin’ yesterday…loved it! I cried in spots, and laughed in others.
