Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
A lovely autumn week brought serene days, with birthday celebrations, blogging, and some reading. I only read and reviewed two books, but they were both wonderful. I wrote six blog posts, so I made up for the previous week when I had no laptop. Today I am pondering what I should do…probably more reading, but I’ve also been captivated by a series I loved a few years ago, now on Amazon Prime: Brothers & Sisters, with Sally Field as the matriarch. I’m on Season II.
I haven’t gone to the theater lately. I’m still waiting for movies that will draw me there, as I no longer go for just any movie.
So…let’s grab some coffee and chat about the details of the past week:
LAST WEEK ON THE BLOGS:
Rainy Day Excerpts: “Under My Skin”
Tuesday Potpourri: Books, Chaos, & Recovery
Coffee Chat: A Week To Celebrate…
Thursday Potpourri: Celebrating Autumn & Birthdays…

That was my week. What did yours look like? I celebrated with two birthday lunches…here’s one of them, with two of my “daughters” (bio daughter on the left, and honorary on the right): I had Quiche.

This is the time of year when good movies are not prevalent. I remember that Sally Field series.

Thanks for visiting, Patty; all the movies will then come out at once, and we’ll be scrambling to see them before they leave the theaters.
I’m loving the Sally Field series again.

I haven’t been to the movies in ages, seems like. And glad you had a good week! I love autumn…
The Neighbors is one I might get if I hear good things- I’ve been intrigued by the blurb.
Quiche! Man, I haven’t had quiche in forever. Looks delicious.

Thanks for stopping by, Greg, and I hadn’t had any Quiche lately, either. But we were at Mimi’s, in my neighborhood, where they have a whole Quiche section on the menu.
I have been too lazy to even go to the movies today, but I’m loving the book Open Your Eyes.
Have a great week.

I don’t go to the movies very often either. I would like to see the new Halloween movie, but I doubt if my town’s one-screen theater will get the movie. I believe “A Song Is Born” is playing this weekend. I heard how it ended, so I don’t want to see it.

Thanks, Billy, even though I live in a fairly big city (500,000 and many theaters), we don’t get a lot of the big movies until later. Sigh. I once lived in a town with one theater, though, and they were playing a movie I’d seen five years before, so I’m grateful for what we get. LOL.
Enjoy your weekend!

Thanks, Sarah, I am enjoying the week so far. My laptop is doing well, although the cursor leaps around, and I end up typing in wrong places. I’m not quite sure what that’s about. LOL
Have a great week!

I had a laptop that did that, so I bought a little mouse that I plug in and it’s fixed the problem. Don’t know if that helps…

A wireless mouse? I have that already. I Googled the situation, and there was a solution about disabling the touchpad pointer. Could that be it?

I’ve bought a DVD of Brothers, Sisters since my last visit here, but… then I found there is a rerun on TV on one of the channels so I started recording it, it was Season one Ep 12 so I do need the DVD anyway. I am hoping they will rerun the rest of the seasons!! Then I’ll see it for the first time.
