Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
What a week! It started off brilliantly, with one book read quickly. Then the second book (a library book) seemed to slog along, even though it was also very much a page turner. I kept getting distracted, with errands, etc., and also having coffee with a friend on Monday. Eventually I finished it…and then went on to read two more, one of which was a Vine review book. A total of four, but I finished the fourth one on Saturday.
I’m still trying to rely more on library books and review books, but I couldn’t resist three purchases this week. NetGalley came through for me, too, with 4 new books!
Last weekend, I went to the movies and enjoyed Chappaquiddick.
I’m going to grab another cup of coffee and chat more about the week.
Let’s take a closer look at my week…

I am such a fan of Wolitzer’s books. I have scheduled her new book on my TBR for a few weeks, but it keeps getting bumped at the last second. I need to get ahead on my YA and then I am definitely reading it.

I’ve been a moody reader of late and so I have avoided NG but of course, you have me curious. The mysteries and thrillers in particular. I’ve kind of fallen of romance since my daughter and son-in-law divorced, but I am a romantic at heart and I am sure I will come around. I am jealous of your coffee Monday with friends. Hope the week ahead is amazing for you!

Thanks for stopping by, Kimberly…and for hosting. I do know what you mean about romance…so most of the time, I mix them in carefully with my suspense/thrillers….and I also love a good romantic suspense book.
Enjoy your books and your week!

Nice list of incoming books, I am refraining from looking at NG at the moment as much as I can! I want space to read other books. I am looking forward thought to the new Mary Kay Andrews which I do have for review. That shrimp looks yummy.

Thanks, Kathryn, I’m now getting approvals for NetGalley books I requested a while ago, so I have mixed feelings as I see them pile up on my stack! (Well, on my Kindle).
I do love a good Mary Kay Andrews book and haven’t read one in a while.
Enjoy your week!

I added Tangerine to my wish list when I saw it on another blogger’s page…and then she told me it was on sale…so I couldn’t resist.

Four books is a great reading week – right now, it’s in the realms of fantasy as far as I’m concerned… I love the look of Shadow Dancing, Laurel – it looks great fun. And I aspire to drink something called Blushing Geisha… Have a great week:)

Ha-ha…that Blushing Geisha is offered at the bistro next to the movie theater, and eating lunch there before the movies is part of my “habit.” So much so that the servers know what drink I want when I sit down. LOL.
I’ve never seen it anywhere else…but it is a treat.
I will probably not read as many books this week…that seems to be my pattern. But as long as I enjoy each one, it’s good.
Thanks for visiting, Sarah, and have a great week.

Thanks, Susan, I enjoyed Chappaquiddick (and the martini), but nothing really surprised me about the movie. The acting was good and I loved revisiting that whole chapter in our history.
