I went back and read your past week’s reviews. Thanks for your impression of The Glass Wives, I am on the fence about picking that up. I also liked your Happy Accidents review–Ms. Lynch seems like a positive person and I like memoirs, so maybe I will add that one. Chelsea Cain (in my opinion only) is too creepy for me. I like mysteries/suspense, but her gore factor is a bit too high for myself. Will check to see your review when it’s written. I read the first Coffeehouse Mystery. Don’t know if you are reading that out of order, but it seemed like a good start to a series. And Debbie Macomber will be a good change of pace after Chelsea Cain 🙂 Enjoy your week reading!

I haven’t read the previous books in the Coffeehouse Mystery, and while I don’t usually like to read out of order, for some reason I chose to ignore that…lol.
The same thing with the Debbie Macomber book.
Yes, I have to be in the mood for creepy stories…Chelsea Cain has just enough without exceeding my tolerance for it. But I wouldn’t be able to read those books every week.
Thanks for stopping by, Rita, and enjoy your week.

I admire the amount of work you do on your blog and how many posts you place!
And very divers books this week, although Chelsea Cain is a bit too gory for me (tried one, but that was enough)
Have a great week & kind regards,

Obsolete, Glass Wives and Happy Accidents all sound like fun reads. I’ve enjoyed Jane Lynch in many movies, and I think she’s great at the over the top roles she plays. 🙂

Me, too, Mardel….and until I read her book, I had forgotten some of the movies she’d been in. She so inhabits her roles. Like as Julia Childs’ sister in Julie & Julia.

You’ve got our summer heat! We are having nice, moderate temperatures here in the Great Lakes region. Good for people but my veggie garden is growing very slow this year. I hope I have a tomato by September!
Oh, books, right. 🙂 Roast Mortem… love that title.

We actually had a very mild spring…usually we get the heat as early as late April, but got a reprieve this year. So I guess I shouldn’t complain!
I like the sound of Roast Mortem, too. Thanks for visiting, Leslie, and enjoy your week.
