Welcome to another week of bookish fun. Join in with those who celebrate Mailbox Monday, hosted in December by Suko’s Notebook; and What Are You Reading?, hosted by Book Journey.
MAILBOX MONDAY:
No books in the mailbox for me this week! That works out perfectly, since the holidays are sucking the time out of the days.
WHAT ARE YOU READING?
Welcome to another week: a time to share our reading, blogging, and life adventures, and a time to enjoy our community of book bloggers.
This week has been a mix of intriguing and tedious reads, with one notable “tedious” one. But before I plunge into that unpleasant topic, let’s look at other matters.
On the Blogs: (Posts)
HUMP DAY POTPOURRI: A DAY THAT WENT FROM BAD TO WORSE
ANOTHER CHALLENGE FOR 2013: MT. TBR
MEG’S FANTASY LIFE – AN EXCERPT

SUNDAY POTPOURRI: BOOKS & MOVIES

Sorry Bonnie was not that for you. I was glad to have the situation resolved. I have yet to watch the movie. I’ll have to check out The Good Woman.

I’m not sure why Bonnie didn’t quite capture me, but perhaps it was because it was the final book. I can’t put my finger on why it didn’t click for me. I’ll still try one of the others….not in that trilogy, though. Thanks for stopping by, Nise.

I’m really loving it, Rebecca; the sisters and their rivalries. The author draws me in and makes me pick “sides” in their battles. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week.

Sometimes it’s fine, not getting any books – they will only distract you from what you were planning to read. 😉

I read a few books by Joyce Carol Oates long ago – like about 15, 20 years ago. Bleak reads. She’s a good writer, but if you have any depression issues at all you might find yourself suffering a bout of the blues after reading one of her books. I don’t have depression issues, and felt the blues coming on after a read. Same with Anne Rice. oh, the heavy bleakness of it all…
haha
have a good reading week – enjoy your books 🙂
