MONDAY FROM THE INTERIOR: MAILBOX MONDAY & WHAT ARE YOU READING? — APRIL 30

Welcome to another Monday from the Interior, in which we share about the books we received in the mail (or bought), and talk about our bookish week, past and future.

For April, Mailbox Monday is hosted by Cindy’s Love of Books.

Sheila, at Book Journey, brings us What Are You Reading?

MAILBOX MONDAY:

Okay, I’ve totally gone nuts!  Yes, my mailbox (and my Kindle) have so many titles it will take forever to list them!  So…I’m going to link the titles/photos to the product pages for more info.  First, the review books:

1.  Reel Life, by Jackie Townsend (from the author)

2.  The Investigation of Ariel Warning, by Robert Kalich (publisher)

3.  The World Without You, by Joshua Henkin (Amazon Vine)

4.  Heartbroken, by Lisa Unger (Amazon Vine)

Now for my purchases:

5.  This Time Together, by Carol Burnett

6.  Sister, by Rosamund Lupton

7.  Restless Souls, by Alisa Statman with Brie Tate

8.  The Good Father (e-book), by Diane Chamberlain

9.  The Red Book (e-book), by Diane Copaken Kogan

10.  Ninepins (e-book), by Rosy Thornton

Whoa!  Somebody should have crippled my “clicking” finger!  lol

That’s it for the week, though….

WHAT ARE YOU READING?

It’s been a wonderful springy week…but I still got in some reading and blogging.

I did the usual memes, and then I wrote Tuesday Potpourri:  More Bookish Delights and Organizational Tidbits.

On a roll, I moved on to Friday Potpourri:  Crazy Moments, followed by Weekend Potpourri:  Guilty Pleasures.

After working on my edits of Interior Designs for awhile, I posted an excerpt here at Snow Chronicles:  Trying to Find the Bright Spot in a Sea of Heartache.

Review:  The Accidental, by Ali Smith

Review:  The Beginner’s Goodbye, by Anne Tyler

Review:   The Good Life, by Jay McInerney

Review:    Love in a Nutshell (e-book),  by Janet Evanovich/Dorien Kelly

So now I’m ready for the new week! (Click titles or covers for more info)

1.  Big City Eyes, by Delia Ephron (From my TBR Stacks)

2.  The Guy Not Taken (short stories), by Jennifer Weiner (Another one from the stacks)

3.  HRH, by Danielle Steel (And still another gift from the TBR stacks)

4.  Dead Witness (e-book), by Joylene Nowell Butler (from author friend)

That’s my week.  And, now that my patio is cleaned up (as I wrote about in my Weekend Potpourri post), I can go out there, put my feet up, and read.

What are your plans for the week?

    1. Your patio had a better cleaning than mine! lol

I actually only swept and dusted and knocked down the cobwebs. But it’s supposed to rain again, so that should take care of the washing…ha-ha.

But today is supposed to be mid-seventies, which will be perfect outdoor reading weather. Thanks for stopping by, Laura, and I just saw your review of The Shoemaker’s Wife, which is on my list! Enjoy your week.

    1. I hadn’t either, Sheila, but for some reason, over the years I picked up a few, and have a couple more on my Old TBRs. Thanks for visiting, and I’m excited about the books sitting around or clogging up Sparky.

  1. Thanks for your lovely comment last week. Your mailbox & e-reader must have indigestion lol, what an awesome haul.

I’ve loved the 2 or 3 Diane Chamberlain books I’ve read & Lisa Unger is another favourite. I didnt realise she had a new book out. Happy reading this week 🙂

I just read The Good Father and I enjoyed it. Looks like Sparky won’t go hungry!

    Have fun reading!

    1. I like the image of “feeding” Sparky…that should alleviate my guilt about the “clicking” frenzy I’ve had lately.

Thanks for visiting, Shelleyrae, and for “liking” this post. Enjoy your week.

    1. Oh, me too, Diane…I was so ecstatic when I saw them in the Vine newsletter. I enjoyed Matrimony, by Henkin; and I’m always up for an Unger book.

Thanks for visiting, and have a great week.

    1. I had noticed this one on the blogs, Karen, and then when I saw it on the table at Barnes & Noble, I was in. I don’t usually buy there, but I had my coupons!

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your week.

    1. Kathy, the print book does have photos…so I’m glad I ordered it in that format. Celebrity books with photos are my faves. I’ll never forget what I was doing when I heard about Sharon Tate’s murder. We were sitting on the patio and watching my “babies” play. It hit me hard.

Recently, I watched The Valley of the Dolls…I think it was Sharon’s last movie.

Thanks for stopping by…and enjoy your week.

    1. Thanks, Mrs. Q. I do love having my Kindle…some books I have to have in print, though; like the ones with photos. Or lovely covers that I want to see on my shelves….lol

Enjoy your week, and I’m glad you could stop by.

    1. I enjoyed them a lot more when I was younger, too; they did seem like forbidden fruit. I occasionally kept buying them over the years, which is why I have some on my TBRs.

Thanks for stopping by, Allison…have a great week.

    1. Lori, it’s been a lot easier since I reorganized my stacks. Now they’re right where I can see them…stacked on my office coffee table (old ones) or on top of a bookcase in my office (new ones).

Thanks for visiting, and enjoy your week.

  4. Great books this week!!! I’ve read quite a few books by Lisa Unger and am looking forward to finding more out about Heartbroken. Sister sounds like a good thriller, too!

I’m waiting for the new Rosy Thornton book to come in the mail – hopefully it comes soon as I am excited to read it.

    Have a great week!

  5. WOW… What a variety of books you have to choose from. I read the Carol Burnett book and love it, as well as Diane Chamberlain’s book The Good Father. Loved them both. Have a great reading week. Today I am reading Exceeding Expectations, by Lisa April Smith. It is a mystery with a few twists and turns. Well, back to reading..

    1. I do love mixing the books up…then I’m never bored. Sometimes, though, I find that I’ve chosen a stack of really dark ones…not a good thing.

Thanks for stopping by, Gigi Ann….Sounds like your mystery is a good one.

  6. Wow, you have a lot of nice titles there, I don’t know where to start! I’ll have to add the Carol Burnett book to my list, somehow I missed that one.

  7. I am interested in the Carol Burnett memoir as I used to watch her show every Saturday night. I know she has had her share of tough times, but she seems like a classy lady.
