Welcome to another Monday from the Interior, in which we share about the books we received in the mail (or bought), and talk about our bookish week, past and future.
Mailbox Monday for March is hosted by Anna, at Diary of an Eccentric.
What Are You Reading? is led by Sheila, at Book Journey.
MAILBOX MONDAY:
I received no review books in the mail this week, but downloaded one book for Sparky, my Kindle.
Another Piece of My Heart, by Jane Green (which I’d preordered).
From the New York Times bestselling author of JEMIMA J, and THE BEACH HOUSE, comes Jane Green’s most emotional and powerful novel yet: a story that explores the complications of a woman marrying into a ready-made family, and the true meaning of motherhood.
Andi has spent much of her adult life looking for the perfect man, and at thirty-seven, she’s finally found him. Ethan–divorced with two daughters, Emily and Sophia–is a devoted father and even better husband. Always hoping one day she would be a mother, Andi embraces the girls like they were her own. But in Emily’s eyes, Andi is an obstacle to her father’s love, and Emily will do whatever it takes to break her down. When the dynamics between the two escalate, they threaten everything Andi believes about love, family, and motherhood—leaving both women standing at a crossroad in their lives…and in their hearts. ANOTHER PIECE OF MY HEART is a novel that illuminates the nuances and truths about relationships and is Jane Green at her absolute best.

WHAT ARE YOU READING?
This Monday reading event gives us the opportunity to showcase the books we’ve read, talk a little about our week, and plan for the week ahead.
I had some fun with blog posts this week. At An Interior Journey, I reviewed a movie I enjoyed.
My midweek post, Hump Day Potpourri: Bookish Surprises & Treats was a nice way to break up the week.
Then I did some Shuffling Things Around & Creative Makeovers.
Yesterday’s post, Saturday Potpourri: Irish Mementos, was a celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.
And I read/reviewed these books: click titles for reviews –
Review: Outside the Lines, by Amy Hatvany
Review: The Accidental Feminist, by M. G. Lord
Review: What Happened to Hannah, by Mary Kay McComas
Review: Why We Broke Up, by Daniel Handler & Maira Kalman
What’s Up Next? (Click Titles or Covers to Learn More)
1. Blue Monday, by Nicci French
2. After Diana, by Christopher Andersen (From my TBR Stacks)
3. Home Front, by Kristin Hannah
4. Spin (e-book), by Catherine McKenzie

And that’s my week! Hope to enjoy the upcoming one, whether it’s rainy, like this weekend, or beautifully sunny like part of last week.

Hi Laurel Rain,
You are certainly planning a heavy week of reading, looking at your lists of books.
There were some excellent reviews amongst them too and I particularly like the sound of ‘Outside The Lines’.
The Jane Green book has attracted some excellent reviews from several bloggers, with almost everyone seeming to rate it highly, so you should enjoy that one.
I also definitely want to read the Nikki French, so that’s three more bookmarked by me … and that’s just from your selection!
Have a great week

I really enjoyed Blue Monday, even more than previous works by this writing team.
Perhaps because the protagonist is a therapist…which, when combined with a detective and a mystery turned it into a real page-turner.
Thanks for stopping by, Shelleyrae….enjoy your week.
