READING CHAT

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year weekend!  Welcome to Monday from the Interior, in which we chat about our reading and blogging.

Mailbox Monday is hosted through January by Alyce, At Home With Books; and What Are You Reading? is led by Sheila, at Book Journey.

In the mail I received two books…and one book I found at Barnes & Noble.

1.  Unraveling Anne, by Laurel Saville (Amazon Vine Review)

2.   The Bungalow, by Sarah Jio

I did a separate post of my 2011 Favorite Books (top ten).

Some Weekly Posts included:

WEEKEND POTPOURRI

SATURDAY POTPOURRI – HAPPY NEW YEAR’S EVE

What’s Up Next?

I had planned to start right in with something on my Old TBRs…but instead, here’s what I selected

1.   Brava, Valentine, by Adriana Trigiani (Received awhile ago from Book Journey)

2.   A Room Swept White, by Sophie Hannah (This one at 480 pages will qualify as a “chunkster”)

3.  One Voice Too Many, by Paul Martin Midden (Review book)

    1. Oh, thanks for visiting, Carol…I’m looking forward to The Bungalow…and probably won’t get to it for two or three (or more) weeks because of the other books ahead of it in the queue!

      Have a great week!

    1. Yes, I’m loving it, Sheila…and I got it from you! I am pretty sure I mentioned that when it was part of my mailbox…should have mentioned it again.

      I love this author!

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your week.

  3. I’ve heard Brava, Valentine is very good. I Want to read that someday. I’m trying to read from the tbr pile but not too sure how that will go. Started Early Took My Dog sounds good and I almost requested a Vine copy of it until I realized it was book four in a series. So now I have Case Histories on my shelf to read first!

    1. Leslie, I think the first one in the series that I read was When Will There Be Good News? I then read Case Histories and One Good Turn.

She seems to create them like stand-alones, in that you can start anywhere…IMO.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to it. Thanks for stopping by.

  4. I love the title Started Early Took My Dog. 🙂 Unraveling Anne looks good too. I’ll be curious to see what you think of it, since I’m always on the lookout for good memoirs.
