This week, I received two review books in the mail from Amazon Vine, and ordered two additional books from Amazon.
Then I ordered two e-books. I know…I’m now addicted to Whispernet.

This past week has sped by so quickly that I’m surprised to have accomplished anything at all. But I’m looking forward to the week ahead. Meanwhile, here are some of last week’s accomplishments.

I wasn’t sure if I would make it, at first…the beginning was a bit cluttered with confusing details, IMO…but later, I saw how these facets were important to the total picture.

You certainly have a full mailbox and some fantastic titles this week.
I love the cover art of ‘The Long Road Home’, the colours are just amazing.
My pick of the week would be ‘Left Neglected’, as we have friends who had an almost identical experience after a car accident. She was in a coma for many weeks and didn’t recognise friends or family on waking up. She is almost better now, although her career was destroyed and the the road to recovery long and painful. I would love to hear your thoughts about this book.

Wow I have not heard of any of these. Actually the book is The Heretic’s Wife not Daughter. I have to see if I typed it incorrectly as you are the second person who thought it was the Daughter.

I enjoyed the Blue Bistro, and The Three Weissman’s of Westport, was kind of a fun read. Read them both last Fall, I think. I have two of Elin Hilderbrand’s books on my TBR pile to be read, and now since I am between books, I think I will read her book, “Barefoot” sounds like a plan to me. Happy Reading.

I really liked The Book of Tomorrow; I have it scheduled for review this week. LEFT Neglected is also another that I read, reviewed, and really liked. The Weird Sisters is receiving mixed reviews, but I think that it would still be a book that I would like – quirky and literary; what’s not to like?

I love quirky and literary….there’s kind of a funny story involved with that label of The Weird Sisters. In high school English, while reading MacBeth, our instructor called me and two pals “the weird sisters.” I don’t think he meant it as a compliment.

oh wow! I used to read Grace Livingston Hill books by the bag full when I was in high school in the 70s. It’s been decades since I’ve even thought of her. I wonder if I’d still love her stories.

Me too, Joy….I saw her books mentioned on a blog recently, which made me curious about the books. I was surprised to find them on Amazon, and ordered one on Kindle. Then I found a couple in the library.
It will be interesting to see if I still like them.
