Good morning and welcome to our Monday exploration of reading, blogging, and all the other exciting adventures of the week.

Hosted by Book Journey, this meme also allows us to explore other blogs and discover new books to read.

I didn’t get any books in the mail this week, so I’m skipping the Mailbox Monday portion of this post.

This past week has been an exciting one for me.  Not only have I enjoyed my reading, but I had the opportunity to interview Author Michele Cozzens.  Her latest book is the very exciting and mystical Irish Twins.

My NaNoWriMo Challenge has given me the chance to start a new project and achieve a goal of 50,000 words in 30 days.   Today’s count (at the beginning of the third week) is 31,304 words.

Another event this week involved moving my Out on a Limb blog to Word Press, where it is now called Going Out on a Limb.

With two remaining sites on Blogger (Rainy Days and Mondays and Creations by Laurel-Rain Snow), I think I’m finished with the merging.

    I am too lazy and love the ease of blogger to actually bother… Love the look of the new space, very clean lines….

    Congrats as well on your writing… I am a huge supporter of the Nano project.. wether you make the goal or not, you are doing great….

    Well done!!!!

    I have the koomson book, I hope to get to it eventually..

    1. Thanks for stopping by, EH…I like participating in challenges; it helps to push me along toward a goal.

      I had the Koomson book for quite a long while (from my old TBR stacks), and I’m glad I finally got to it.

      As for Blogger, parts of it are easy, but the commenting system and the length of time to load the pages had me frustrated. I do enjoy being able to do a full-size photo as a blog header, though.

  7. Crooked Letter sounds like it will be a lovely read. I have a Koomson book on my shelf unread but it’s not the one on your list, must dig it out 🙂

  8. Once in a Blue Moon is on my Kindle waiting for me to choose it. But it may be a while, I have a lot of review books with upcoming publication dates that have to take priority. My Monday Report is here. Happy reading!

  9. 50, 000 words in 50 days, I can’t imagine. Good luck to you. I love, love Eileen Goudge. One of my favorites by her is the trilogy. The trilogy takes place in California. I can’t give the titles off the type of my head. She’s a masterful author who I have visited throughout the years.

    1. Oh, thanks, Tea…I think the only way to get through such a challenge is to break it down into daily counts, which they do on the site. 1667 words a day, or something like that.

      I’ve managed to exceed that count every day so far, although there are many others who are doing even better. But I am pleased with doing 2,000+words a day, and 3,000 + a day on the weekends.

      Glad you could stop by. I’ll have to check on that trilogy…it sounds good!

    1. It does, doesn’t it, Alyce? It reminds me of that ditty…”M – I – Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter” in the spelling of Mississippi.

      I hope it’s not one of those hyped books that turns out to be horrible.
