IT’S MONDAY! WHAT ARE YOU READING?

Good morning!  Welcome to Book Journey’s It’s Monday!  What Are You Reading?

This past week, I didn’t get a single book in my mailbox!

As usual, I’ve been blogging away at my various sites.  Check out my Sunday Salon for more details.

What I Read Last Week (Click the Title for the Review):

1)  Keeper of the Keys, by Perri O’Shaughnessy

2)  The Good Daughters, by Joyce Maynard

3)  Fragile, by Lisa Unger

My Planned Reading for This Week:

1)  Back to the Homeplace, by William Leverne Smith

When the family matriarch dies, four grown children are brought back to the family farm in the Ozarks to hear about the special provisions in the will.

2)  With Friends Like These, by Sally Koslow

Koslow (The Late, Lamented Molly Marx) lifts a potentially trite story of friendship to a knowing, sharp-edged chronicle of ambition and acceptance that’s smart, raw, and achingly real….

3)  Odd Mom Out, by Jane Porter

Marta Zinsser is not your typical suburban mom. Single, strong, and confident, she wears camouflage pants and chunky boots and rides a motorcycle. When her New York advertising firm asks her to open a branch in Seattle, she agrees to return to her hometown, mostly because of her mother’s ill health. Now she’s running her own firm out of her house, while her nine-year-old daughter is trying and failing to fit in at her new school….

With a group of books like these, I should have a really great week.  What are the rest of you reading?  I hope you’ll stop by and share your comments and links.

    1. I’ve had that Jane Porter on my stacks for a long time! My stacks are so huge, that I lose track of the books on them…lol.

But I do have them listed on a document, so I don’t necessarily have to plow through the physical stacks.

Thanks for stopping by, Erotic Horizon.

  3. My husband is a big fan of O’Shaughnessy’s novels. I tend to lean toward foreign mystery/crime fiction myself so we have a good balance of mystery novels in the house.

    Have a lovely week!

  4. Great reading week – I have The Good Daughters on my pile and can’t wait to read it. I’ll have to check your review. I also just got Fragile from the library and can’t wait to read it.

Yes I guess it helps to read the Plum series in order, and from what I have heard the earlier ones are better, I wouldn’t know since I’m still on number 8 and I’m enjoying the series.

  5. I really enjoyed Odd Mom Out – the characters pulls forward to another book from a year or two ago… so try to read them in order :).

Thanks for your comments re: The Art of Mending – I started listening today. I’m from MN and lived at the state fair for two weeks every year. I can’t wait to hear the secret and how the story will unfold. I also love Berg’s work!

    Have a great week!

  6. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I really enjoyed Up the Down Staircase – I love stories of challenging but inspirational teaching experiences, and this one was full of humor as well as being touching.
